The Animals version is way better than the absolute shit cover the FFDP did. Fuck I hate that band.
The ffdp is way over thier heads on that one. Just like so many bands trying to ride on history, you have to bring it.
Was watching the voice just now and some kid tried to sing this, nope not happening.
They have no heart and no sole.
Like the 1960's songs, they don't understand they were popular with the troops because they were protest songs.
None of them get ironry or sarcasm, a lost art.

Kiss is top 10 on my list of worst rock bands ever. Song after song of pandering bullshit lyrics and at best mediocre musical talent.
