Covid-19 Positive, Celia and I.

I'm glad to hear that you are both recovering.
I hope you get back to full strength quickly & don't have any of the lingering long term effects from it.

Had you gotten vaxxed back at the very beginning or just recently?

I'm assuming they couldn't tell you if it was Delta or one of the new ones?

Keep an eye out for your heart feeling odd a few months later, that seems to happen to some folks who recover from Covid.

We tested positive a week back, on Monday, complete surprise. I was administered Antibodies Thursday, with excellent results. Staying home, taking it very easy; Celia is doing OK, too.

Greg.
If you need anything let me know, I’m more than willing to drive down to Tucson to drop off a couple of bags of groceries on your porch.

FLCC can get you in touch with doctors who will telemed a consult and prescribe Ivermectin.

As I recall you've got some health issues, might be the best $200 bucks (150ish for consult and $50 for the custom per your weight formulated IVM) you ever spent

You'll be fine, rest up, buy an o2 sensor and watch your saturation level.

Glad you are doing well sir. I would echo what’s been said about flccc. Plenty of things on there that you can buy over the counter, even if ivermectin is something you don’t pursue. Zinc, quercetin, melatonin. There was a study published out of Iran I think the other day showing decrease in symptoms and mortality from patients receiving melatonin. Godspeed.

My BIL has had it for 9 days now and got tested yesterday. He’s positive. He hasn’t improved much. His wife didn’t want to quarantine and miss work and money so didn’t want him to test. Pretty dumb. I’m anti vax for my family but let’s not be stupid people.

I'm very glad to hear you're doing well, Greg. I know this was a genuine concern for you based on our past conversations. You got this!

I just got over it myself. Was out for a little over 2 weeks. It sucks, but it's not the sickest I've ever been (had spinal meningitis back in '91... that was truly debilitating. Covid is about 1/10th as bad as that).

Keep up on your vitamins, especially C (10,000mg day), D3 (10,000 IU per day), NAC and Zinc.

Ironically, my lungs were a clear as they'd ever been in my life while I was sick....

Thank you all. The local hospital gave me good drugs (Monoclonal Antibody Infusion); we're laying low at home. The grand kids keep an eye on us and help when we need it.

Now, nearly two weeks later, I feel much better, as does Celia. Celia says we have about another week's worth of recovery, but I'm in no hurry. My overall feeling is mild exhaustion, weakness, and balance issues. I stay on the oxygen, help Celia where needed, and care for the three cats. I sleep as much as possible, and keep up with Netflix., Every day we eat a little more and try to stay hydrated. Elena has tested positive, but has little or no symptoms. Patrick is not infected, and lives in his room like a hermit. So far, so good. He helps us when we need it.

Meanwhile, I have a project in mind. I just took delivery of 2lb of Ramshot LRT, about as slow a powder as can be obtained. It is intended for overbore LR Tactical rounds. I want to use it for the 28" 260 with heavier bullets. Way back when I was shooting the 260 in the 24" factory Savage barrel, I was trying H-4831. Velocity was slower, but accuracy was quite good. If anybody has experience with these components, I'd be interested in hearing about it. If it's a bad idea, I can live with it.

Greg

PS, for similar bullet weights, charges in the Ramshot Pamphlet appear mildly similar to H-4350 and H-4831 . This is just going to have to go by ear, with VERY cautious pressure and load development testing. In essence, I can't really see any advantage from here, but the exercise could provide another useful propellant, and practice at load development.

Greg, my wife is 2 months out and still tired. The first month all she did was sleep and come home from work early and sleep. She slept in until 845 today.

If you’re hanging onto a cough use saline nasal spray. It will kill the little things hanging around in your sinuses causing the cough. Also Zyrtec will help a cough with the saline spray.

It’s a long road for some and just a cold for others. Weird stuff for sure.

Look into ivermectin treatment. Treatment and medical consult can be obtained online now. This is all information derfaucci, msm, and big tech did their best to squelch. If you follow the money you will find that 7 of 12 members of faucci's panel had a financial arrangement with a drug company that provides an ineffectual alternative treatment.

This goes out to Greg and anyone else that has as even the slightest bit of sniffles.

Vitamin C, Zinc 1000:100 ratio (3x a day)... real vitamin C and real zinc, none of that multi vitamin crap.
For me, I have to break up the vitamin C when I eat otherwise it gives me an upset stomach, Upchuck and promptly lose any help the vitamin C provided

D3: Can't tell you the appropriate dosage on this as I've always got mine from the sun. If you're gonna go with sunlight version of D3, the sun must be at least 45゚ elevation.. why? The atmosphere attenuates the wavelength that causes D3. Below 45゚, wavelength of light has to travel through too much of the atmosphere and is thus attenuated to the point that D3 isn't created by the skin.

If you're feeling sluggish, add vitamin B12. You'll know when you've had enough B12 in your system cuz B12 has the added benefit for guys in creating erection so hard that you can beat somebody unconscious with. Yea, forget the little blue pill.

I've been following this same protocol for better than 20 years... I rarely get sick. And The Times I have, less than 48 hours later I feel like I'm on top of the world.

Great to hear! That's how it was for me and the wifey. I could NOT go to the crapper, then walk back to my recliner, without being out of breath and wanting to just take a F'n nap! The wife and I relied on each other, she'd cook, I'd clean up. Laundry to do, I carried it, she set-up the washer/dryer(most was her stuff), when done, I'd fold and carry back up stairs. We're good on cleaning up after ourselves, so the house doesn't get all trashy. So...there's that. 4 to 5 weeks later, I told her, she could start doing the laundry again:ROFLMAO: (I was a bachelor until 33, and I got married for a reason)!
Glad you both are getting on top of this crap. Mac(y)
ETA: Can't help ya on the reloading stuff, I took care of that part, earlier. But, good luck with that too!

Doc told me 30 days of recovery before I get back into any major activity. Have had to take it easy at work and around the house. But, now that I'm "out of the woods" I can function fairly regularly. Climbing stairs is a chore... haven't tried running yet...

Got home, did 2 weeks isolation, then back in for Community Pneumonia., Seven days in bed, immobile buried in blankets on couch since Thursday. Very weak, This stuff is getting to be BS.

Today was first day I could more or less breathe. Working on conditioning, but at this point it's joke.

WILL NOT QUIT!

Greg
Do not go gently into that good night!

Hang in there, sir. I went through this shit pretty much the whole month of December. Sounds like you have a good attitude, which helps. For a lot of folks (me included) the mental toll was real as well. I am not a patient individual, and just had to adopt the ol one day at a time attitude. I started watching quite a few uplifting movies and for my apparently easily influenced mind, it worked.
Hoosiers, Miracle, VisionQuest, Rocky 4 (whatever the Russian one was) just to name a few. I stayed away from the "news", and for gods sake, don't utilize google for anything Covid related.

Snipers Hide forum is of course approved.

There's nothing more frustrating than being sick and tired of being sick and tired!

I'm sure it's difficult, but see if you can just get outside during the warm part of the day foe a little bit to get some sun on you. Keep pushing and plodding along.

Open a few windows to get some fresh air. I'm finding this is doing wonders for me. Household air can get pretty stuffy. Opening a few windows if for no more than an hour will freshen up the house and should help with any doldrums you may have.

Good luck fellow covid brother....
