Re: Short barrel rifle for long range shooting?? i wouldn't worry about the lost velocity for what you are looking to do. it is plenty accurate. the loss of velocity should only affect your drop. shot at longer ranges, learn the drop, and hit what you shoot at. the only thing to watch for...- hornsurgeon
