Staked castle nut or not ?
Looked. Couldn't find one. I did find pictures of their newer rifles with a standard style castle nut but they still aren't staked. Even their standard style castle nut doesn't have the recesses for the end plate to be staked into it. Almost like they designed it to not be staked...- Merle

Staked castle nut or not ?
Some manufacturers' end plates aren't designed to be staked, KAC's QD end plate is one example. I think it's probably like everything else with the AR-15. Buy quality stuff and you won't have issues. Buy cheap shit with loose tolerances and you just might.- Merle

I'm pretty sure a scope base for a commercial Mauser 98 will fit it. EGW makes a scope base and so does Near manufacturing. With a picatinny base you can get yourself a set of modern style rings and install whatever scope you please...- Merle

Anyone know what this part is? Seekins SP10
Something tells me that isn't a roll pin. It's just a hole and what you are seeing is the pivot pin spring. Almost, if not all AR lower receivers have that hole. I think its original purpose is a drain hole.- Merle
