    If you have a vice and a barrel wrench it's about a 45 minute job at most.

    Not true. The BCG and barrel are proprietary and I'm assuming they did that to prevent the consumer from swapping parts around. Other than those parts it's just a low rail DPMS pattern rifle and you can use any barrel you want. Just have to change the BCG if you change the barrel.

I actually had to tap the hole in an M&P10 lower for a 4-40 set screw due to it not having enough spring tension on the pin and having it come completely out of the lower when taking...
