    Remington 700 tolerances

    What should the bolt and bolt bearing of a 700 mic out to? I have a rifle I want to work into long range but want to see if it's worth the time or if it's wore to a unredeemable point.

    Just a suggestion, if you could put the barreled action on a stock, shoot the guaranteed group, then separate the two, and sale the barreled action, the market would be more open, most of what turns me and I'm sure others away is the stock choice on particular builders 'built guns'.

    I think one of the factors I just realized, is the detachable mag on the chassis... I REALLY like the idea, but have no idea of a .280AI magazine for them. Can only seem to find .308 and 300 win mag

    I do like the idea of a pistol grip quite a bit, but it's not a necessity, and so long as the system adjusted to the point it fits me (14" lop, skinny face) then it wouldn't be an issue.

    I intend a 600-1000 yd rifle when finished. And as far as the stock/chassis goes, as long as I get what I pay for and don't feel like I got messed over then the budget is open within reason. Reason being putting down 2 grand on a gun I only have a grand into as of yet. Unless the stock reloads...

    What do I need to start?

    I want to get into reloading for cost and precision reasons, and want to know what I need to get. I plan on immediately starting reloading 45acp, 40s&w, 30-06, and .280 rem. and later on 223, 308, and 7.62x39. What do I need? Is there a starter kit? Dies? Im lost.
