This is FTF in DFW, TX only. This is NOT for sale at any cost (well...maybe, but my priority is getting something useful).
I have 4# that I got for my brother (he just started reloading). He decided today that he’d rather have H335 so I traded him 4#. So now I have Varget which I stopped using...
Up for sale is an RCBS Chargemaster 1500. Full disclosure, this has a 2007 date of manufacture so it does not have the ability to do auto-dispense or silence the beep. These two functions are hard-wired into the motherboard and cannot be changed via a firmware update (which isn't possible...
Except that the Sierra Reloading manual (at least the app version) doesn't even have any of the usual suspects and doesn't include CFE223 as an option. They list H4895, A2495, TAC, A2520, N140, N540, and RE15. IMHO, that's not particularly useful.
I started on Hodgdon's Reloading website. I had planned to start with those numbers, but here and elsewhere, accuracy loads seem to be well ABOVE those numbers.
I've got a bit of CFE223 because that's what I can find. I realize that the go to powder for the above setup is IMB 8028XBR, but that's about as none existent as other popular powders.
I've read so many threads, but very few actually call out the use of CFE223. I know it's been out a while...

In stock. Ordered 2k and a buddy ordered 4k. They are about a week out on shipping Powder so probably around that for other stuff?
That's exactly the feedback I was looking for.
I work from home and our garage is hot. During a typical TX summer, I don't like being in there. So anything I can do inside the house is better. The "beeping" from the Chargemaster and wanting to turn it off is what got me down this rabbit...
I've read the other threads on the AT V2 / V3. I'm trying to wrap my ahead around cost / benefit.
A couple of questions. I know from an accuracy perspective, the AT V2 / V3 is more accurate.
- is it faster?
- is the Area 419 upgrades necessary? if so, what upgrades?
So just an update. Apparently the "beep off" and auto-dispense are newer features. My Chargemaster has a manufacture date of 2007 and apparently was BEFORE these features were added. These features are hard-coded into the motherboard so there is no firmware fix.
Basically, live with the...
