Finally made my first 260 rounds! Pics inside!

Shooters Pro Shop: Custom Competition They had Nosler 123gr Custom Competitions just last week. They will probably have more in the next couple of weeks. Keep an eye out, very decently priced round for trigger time. I take mine to the range for the first time tomorrow morning. Also doing 140...

    Finally!!!! I'm a little estatic!

Nice stick. Waiting can be an absolute bitch. I'm typically an immediate satisfaction guy and the short wait (4 months) on my last build I thought was excruciating. I can't see waiting a year or more :(

Anyone ever used 4D Reamer Rentals for Savage Prefits?

DON'T email. He willingly admits he SUCKS at email. Call him direct. Leave a message if he doesn't answer. He will call you back.

Anyone ever used 4D Reamer Rentals for Savage Prefits?

Jim Briggs @ Northland Shooters Supply is the Criterion Barrel Distributor (huge following, including myself, on the SavageShooters forum). In addition, his pricing is better and he keeps some barrels (common cartridge and profiles) in stock.

    Chrony Recommendation

For how infrequently this will be used, not justifiable in my mind.

    Chrony Recommendation

If you were going to go the Chrony route, which one would you get?

    Chrony Recommendation

Thanks for looking. Yeah, I think I probably will have to go the MidwayUSA route. I'll use the Amazon credit for something else.

    Chrony Recommendation

Valid point on the data loss. Let me ask my question differently then. Can you provide me recommendations on Amazon.com outside of the $120 price range. They do have the MagnetoSpeed, but not sure I am ready for fork over $300 for it. I don't have that many rifles or that many loads for the...

    Chrony Recommendation

    Amazon doesn't have the M2.

    Chrony Recommendation

I've got $90 in available credit at Amazon.com. Willing to go as high as $120 or so. Not much budget left after catching up on components (powder and metric crap ton of bullets). I've been using my buddy's Chrony, but he is about to move away and I need to get my own. Looking for basic...

    6.5 X 06 brass

I'm pretty sure I'd seen Nosler making 6.5-06 brass. Check them, but the 25-06 brass would probably be easiest to neck down.

Found the almost perfect range box.

Thanks for the info. I just bought the 22" cantilever tool box and am pretty impressed with it. My current range bag has lots of pockets, but can never find the small crap. The top see through bins are perfect. I may consider this for pistol range days as I tend to carry a lot of pistol ammo...

should I go chassis or normal stock?

I was originally going to go with a traditional, but with the addition of DBM & bedding, I was pretty close to the cost of an XLR. I got to briefly hold a JP (similar in style to the XLR) and the similarities to the AR platform sealed the deal for me. Because my AR and my 260 are now similar...

H4350: typical lot to lot verification

Well just cancelled my order at MSS. Picked up 20# at PV. Should be all the same lot number. If I had a tub large enough, I would mix all of it together with the 8# I have now and call it done.

New Savage Build - 260 Rem

I also have an AR and wanted something similar as I go back and forth between platforms. My 223 trainer is on a Choate Ultimate Sniper Stock with a pistol grip. I will eventually move it to the XLR for continuity.

H4350: typical lot to lot verification

Good info. I'll keep that in mind as I do load development.

New Savage Build - 260 Rem

Kyle has a very strong following because of his customer service and his product. The aluminum chassis is light. Most of the weight of my build is the barrel and the optics. Definitely going to get another one for my trainer so I train exactly (well almost) as I would compete. I looked at a...

H4350: typical lot to lot verification

I am running mine at AI Mag Length of 2.85. The idfference (0.1") seems to be pretty significant. Still actually need to complete load development (just got rifle in and doing workups this weekend or early next week).

H4350: typical lot to lot verification

I would HOPE that lot to lot variations would be minimized, but the main reason I asked the question is the "significant" (yes that term is relative) difference in lots of Varget, at least from what I've read. I was curious to see if others had experienced similar lot to lot variations in...
