Need a new bag, can't find what I am looking for

I had a couple Eberlestock packs and sold them to finance a Mystery Ranch. Absolutely no complaints about the Eberlestocks. The Mystery Ranch just worked better for my purposes. If I could have kept one it would have been the Low Drag. I used it for a coyote calling bag. It would be great for a...

Ask for opinion about Eberlestock F52 Jackhammer Backpack

I really like my warhammer. Its not the handiest pack but its very comfortable. I saw a YouTube video recently of Mr. Eberle explaining packs at the last Shot Show and he was talking about a new frame they made for the Jackhammer that will lighten it up a bunch.

Spike duffel or Little Brother for Warhammer

I don't know how to post a link but you look up Eberlestock on their website. This Warhammer I got is about perfect for me and the hunting I do here in Arizona. Like Idaho Savage my idea of a bug out bag is what gets me out the door for a hunt after work but I'm sure it will work for you too...

Spike duffel or Little Brother for Warhammer

That's what I had in mind. I like the idea of the Hammer being my base pack and being able to add or subtract as needed. I'm not sold on the little brother as a pack but a buddy of mine swears by it and has been telling me to go that direction. The hammer works well where I'm at for hunting the...

Spike duffel or Little Brother for Warhammer

I'm looking to expand the room on my Warhammer to hold some bulky clothes and such for some later hunts this year and I keep arguing with myself over whether to get the spike duffel because it is cheaper and light, or the little brother so I have the option of using it as a day pack also. I can...

DIY Shooting Mat and Rear Bags:

I have been thinking about a sewing machine and learning how to use it just so I can patch a few things and add things like straps to packs and such. Any suggestions on what machine.

Rifle Scopes Nikon for scout scope

Anybody use the Nikon 2.5-8x28 pistol scope for a scout scope? There is a little info out there on these being used on scouts but not too much.

.308 OR .270 OR something else for first custom 'sniper' do everything gun?!

I'm a 308 fan myself. My grandpa's little Remington 600 308 gets passed around the family depending on who gets drawn in a given year and has killed countless deer and elk with a couple sheep in the mix. But I agree with Jroberts. Go with the 30-06 with the long action.

    1 in 10 vs. 1 in 12 for .308

Re: 1 in 10 vs. 1 in 12 for .308 KPK, you might have an idea! Never thought about it that way. Not much of a gun dealer. The guy says it's a shooter, he just doesn't have a rifle to put it on and messing with his ARs right now. I know him and trust him on this.

    1 in 10 vs. 1 in 12 for .308

Re: 1 in 10 vs. 1 in 12 for .308 Here's the deal. Been wanting a .308 with a 20" for a while. happened into a great deal on an unfired Remington SPS varmint in .308 with the 26" barrel and grabbed it a little hastily. A guy I know has a shilen 20" barrel he will sell me for $40, but it is...

    1 in 10 vs. 1 in 12 for .308

I'm working on a .308 with a 20" barrel. I was wanting a 1 in 10 twist, but was wondering if it offers any real advantage over the 1 in 12 for the heavier bullets. I can get a what in 1 in 12 easy and cheep. It's possible I might mess with subsonic loads just cause it sounds like fun, so I...

    Ruger Frontier

Re: Ruger Frontier Absolutly love it. I have one in .243. It's the one I always grab when I walk out the door, unless it have something specific to do. Even then I would usually rather take it. Have a Leupold scout scope on it.

    BIG CAN OF WORMS

Re: BIG CAN OF WORMS Thanks. New to the site, and wasn't sure how to search. I'm sure it has been asked a bunch, and know there can be a feud between the Savage and Remington fans. Ive read most everything else on the internet about these rifles. Just thought I would give it a shot.
