    I'm just getting my rifle together. I will get my scope rings and base at the end of the month. I was thinking until then have the stock bedded. So I haven't shot it yet.

    Quickdraw40, 20, 30, 40 moa bases.... Now I'm confused... I'm new to long range shooting. I've been reading and for a .308 I thought the 20moa base would be the best match for a .308 (max effective range, BC of ammo, etc). Maybe you can school me up on the advantages of 20 vs 30 vs 40 moa bases...

    I have been snapping in (dry firing) to practice trigger control with my rem 700. I have been using snap caps. My question is will it hurt my rifle if I don't use the snap caps?.
