    I would take Ase Utra any day of the week. Surefire is really good, but i like the Ase better.

    I don't know if you can get it over there. But I have used Vihtavuori N32C "Tin Star", with great succes. It has almost the same properties as Trail Boss.

    Hi Tuukka, Thanks for your reply. I'm aware about your own miragecovers, but I were curious, if other covers were better. I have no experience with miragecovers. And i only want the best. - Which, of course, is why i have an Ase Utra suppressor. It really is top of the line.

    Which miragecovers, currently on the market today, are the most effective? I'm looking for a cover for my MAE T42ST and my Ase Utra SL5. They are entirely different dimension-wise, so i probably have to be able to order custom sizes. Thanks.

    Don't bother cleaning your cans (Except for take-downs. They can seize up if not cleaned occasionally). They actually suppress better with a carbon layer. If bits of carbon buildup breaks off, just shake it out, and be done with it.

    Where i come from, we can normally extend the barrel-life a bit. By cutting off about 20 mm of the muzzle, and of course re-crown.

    I use nothing but Vihta. I can highly recommend N540 for .308 and 30.06. And N560 for .300WM.

    That reply made me think... You're absolutely right. Come to think of it. I never really use the magazine on my .308, except when hunting, or when i head to the shooting cinema. And this rifle is for range use "only" (I might bring it to my annual pighunt in Sweden). So i will load them long...

    Is it possible to re-barrel or modify the factory barrel, in such a way, that i get the lands closer to the bolthead. Thus minimizing the required COAL?

    Because i can. Do you need more excuses than that? - I don't :) Shooting and hunting is a hobby, and a great part of my life. And i want to explore and experiment. It's exciting, thrilling and rewarding. Why only shoot supersonics? Why not do something different, just because you can?
