    Tikka T1X

    DTJB, the dovetail mount is fine. The scope on my T1X is mounted this way and there have been no issues. As mentioned these rifles don't recoil very hard. Congrats on your new rifle, you're going to like it. BTW mine shoots SK Std. Plus very well.

    I did the same thing and really like it. I use mine for fun, informal sporter benchrest matches and the beavertail forend makes it ride the front bag much better.

    Ruger RPR vs Tikka t1x vs CZ 457

    I don’t have any experience with CZ’s but do have a T1X and am very happy with its accuracy. IMO it’s a lot of rifle for $453 out the door.

    Winchester 52D range report

    Good shooting. I need to pay my 52’s some attention but have been busy with the T1X and the Miroku 52. Also I’ve finally worked out a good accurate load for my Shaw barreled Savage mdl 16 in 260 Remington. Now that the weather is cooling off it’s time to start shooting air rifles indoors.

    Usually I just pull a couple cotton patch through the bore with a piece of monofilament fishing line after each shooting session. If it's really dirty I'll break out the Bore Tech and a brush, then patches and fishing line.

    Picked up my new rifle today and after cleaning and adjusting the trigger down I decided to run a few rounds through it. It fires fine, the trigger is decent, it ejects fine but it doesn't feed very well. Anyone else having feed issues?

    CCI SV. I'll try pushing the shell all the way to the back of the mag and see how it goes. The bolt picks up the shell and starts the bullet into the chamber but then binds up. I'll try to get some photos after church today.

    Cleaning Rod Selection

    I use a piece of 50# monofilament fishing line to pull patches through my barrels, the only thing I use a rod for is a brush.
