I have a KAC 14.5 Mod 2 rifle with no optic on it right now. I always loved ACOGs for the nice glass and the simple to use BDC reticle but hated the eye relief and wished I had a little more zoom... Is the 1-6 or 1-8 VCOG the answer? I own a 1-8 ATACR on a SR25 but feel it is a lot of...
GAP will let you pick whatever action you want but for the longest time it has always been a REM700 action that is blueprinted and trued. This one is a REM700 action.
I have a LMT and a SR25 ACC as well. The ACC out shoots the LMT at 100yds by about 1/4" with 175FGMM. The ACC does start to open up after about 3 rounds or so due to the low profile barrel heating up quick.
I have/found a NF ATACR 5-25 on here for around $1850ish(that wasn't in the greatest external condition) and mounted it in the badger USMC rings that are for the 50 on my M82. It holds zero and is really dependable on that big gun.
The only time my Barrett gets shot is when I have a big group...
Thought I would pass this along after struggling with bubble levels and trying to hang string from objects in the house for verification.
I have come across an easy way to level a scope on a rifle. It's called the Igaging Angle Cube. It's kinda...
I've had the kahles 1-6, NX8, and ATACR.
ATACR gave me the best combo of having a good eyebox & FOV while being robust and 'military' grade when it came to reticle, turrets, etc.
I've enjoyed your write up, wjm308. I have a S&B 5-20 that I love, and K318 that I love, and am on a wait list for a ZCO with the new reticle. I agree with your findings on the S&B and K318. I almost posted a thread comparing mine like you did yours, but decided not to because I don't feel...

I have only done the K&M one that was a 2 day beginner course. I enjoyed it and just from taking that course alone... It has allowed me to finish middle of the pack at my first two PRS competitions.
I don't think you can go wrong with either.
