    Re: AR-10 Bullet & Twist Rate: 100 - 600 Yards For a 168 grain bullet, either twist will rate will work fine. 168 is kind of a breaking point though. If you plan on ever shooting lighter bullets, the 1:12 will work best, but if you plan on ever shooting heavier bullets, a 1:10 would be better.
