I’m up in Canada and the cheapest I’ve seen one new up here is $3900. Also, it’s nice and compact but it’s still 2lbs. That’s why I’m looking at the mark 5 so hard, it’s 26 or 27oz.

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

I went back and forth over a used A1 or a new A2 for weeks. In the end I found a great deal on an A1 Covert and I’m very happy to finally own one of these rifles. The covert chassis is actually brand new with zero rounds through it and it has a Bartlien 22” 308 barrel from Short Action...

Is it easy to remove the monopod from the A1?

And reading stuff like this makes me super hesitant about the A2

Ya I figured the weight savings would be a combination of barrel flutes, chassis lightning, and no more monopod. I also can’t decide if I would want a monopod either as ive never used one. I’m in Canada so there aren’t many around to go put your hands on.

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

Anyone else get ahold of a new A2 and have thoughts about the new trigger? Good or bad? I have the opportunity to pick up a basically new(but used) SRS-A1 covert with a 22” Bartlien 308 barrel or spend $1800 more to order a new SRS-A2. I would love the weight savings, just not sure if 2lb...

    30-06 reamer advice needed

When I bought mine they had 3 in stock sitting on the shelf. Give them a call and ask, might get lucky!

    30-06 reamer advice needed

highly recommend the serengeti reamer, its the best match for Lapua brass and 175-210 grain bullets. It will stil shoot the 230's, but if you planned on 220-230gr exclusively I would have the throat lengthened a bit. 1:10 twist will do everything you need.

    Sako TRG / TRG-S M995 Thread **Sticky??**

Plus you can get pre-fit barrels now from KRG that use a Savage style barrel nut, which brings the TRG even more inline with the newer options.

Tikka Tac 1 vs Sako TRG22

I have a TRG-22 and used to shoot a Tikka T3 Tactical. I would pick the TRG every day if you have the money. The Tikka is a great rifle, but too me the TRG is just the better, beefier version. The new T3x solves the older T3 plastic and aluminum components that would need to be changed out...

    Sako TRG / TRG-S M995 Thread **Sticky??**

Hey Guys, I really want to put a KRG enclosed forend on my TRG-22. I already have their folding buttstock and I would like to have to forend for a number of reasons, mainly to have the ability to add arca rails and such for PRS type shooting. KRG doesn't specifically make the enclosed forend...

Are there any Sharps Shooters here?

Those are gorgeous rifles! And I agree, one isn’t enough haha. I have a 38-55 1885 Highwall with 30” #4 barrel as well. My second Sharps will a Long Range Express in 45-2 7/8ths with a 34” heavy octagon. That’s my ultimate dream rifle but I started with the more sensible 45 first haha

Are there any Sharps Shooters here?

I’m resurrecting this thread because I just bought my dream rifle. I’ve been searching for a used Shiloh Sharps that was within my budget and had the options I wanted for 10 years. Finally found it! Shiloh Sharps 1874 Long Range Express 45-70(45-2.1), 30” full octagon, AA wood, pistol grip with...

    New bling from KRG

I think this chassis looks incredible, but I'm a TRG fanboy so It's easy to like the looks of this one. I would love to see this available for Howa SA and LA. I know there isnt a huge market for it but I would also love to see it available for the Sako M995 inlet. I could finally build a "TRG"...

Switch-barrel Sako TRG: What calibers interest you...?

Can't believe I missed this thread! My votes are for 6.5x47 and 6mm Dasher if possible. I've been wanting to rebarrel my -22 to 6 Dasher for a while. And I would also be very interested in a 223 setup if it is possible!
