    Sitka pissed off Euro optic

Say what you want but I hunted this week in full Sitka gear. It was mid thirties in the morning and mid sixties in the afternoon. Same gear worked well for both. No cheap stuff I’ve ever bought had that much versatility. Plus, it’s scientific fact that deer would rather be killed by high-end gear…

Is body armor necessary for a civilian?

Got cliff notes from the review? At work so can’t look it up for a while

    Intro into night vision hunting

This…. OP - When you say “good” NV then I would assuming you are talking about a pvs14 + helmet + mount + IR + Laser. It’s not going to be cheaper than a “good” thermal. If you’re talking about digital that’s a different thing and I wouldn’t put it in the category of what most would call...

Oh Shucks! Failed my DEI Interview...

Man…. I had an interview a couple years ago and they asked the question of what I had personally done to support DEI initiatives for the company. Apparently “I was friends with a gay person once” wasn’t quite what they were looking for 😂

    Sitka pissed off Euro optic

Sitka is terribly overpriced. But it also works better than anything else I’ve tried. I caught some on a big sale once and stayed warmer with less bulk than anything else I’ve tried. Plus it’s quiet. I had a closet full of stuff that you got to pick if you wanted to be quiet, warm or light...

Any mountain bikers out there 2.0

The geometry is what makes the difference on the playfulness IMO. I think the mullet really helps being able to rip through some of the tighter turns, etc. for some reason, the mullet bike also feels heavier even though on paper it’s about the same. I will say that I took my pedal bike out a...

Any mountain bikers out there 2.0

I’ve got the mx. it’s a mullet, a little more slack and the reach is different. My wife has the full 29er version in the same frame size. You can definitely feel a difference when you ride them. The 29er makes you feel like you’re positioned more upright so it climbs a little easier and...

Night Vision Upgrading from StingIR to NOX18?

Agreed. I’ve put my lpvo up to 3-4x and image still worked fine. The only thing I don’t like is having it sighted in on the rail. I haven’t done much testing with it to see how reliable the POI is in different scenarios.

Night Vision Upgrading from StingIR to NOX18?

The nox does a really good job in the role it was designed for. The screen feels bigger than the sting when using it on a helmet. I haven’t been overly impressed with the image clarity compared to some of the other thermals I’ve used but it’s more than sufficient. Also, it’s not a clip on...

Thinking of rolling the dice on an Echo Timberwolf

I snagged an echo 4910 before they disappear. Seems great for the initial cuts and a nice balance of power to weight. Will see how she holds up over time.

Thinking of rolling the dice on an Echo Timberwolf

I’m in the same boat. Debating between Echo or Stihl. Looking for 50-60cc with about a 20” bar for general use.

Night Vision $3k thermal weapon sight

Back to topic.. OP - I’ve owned thermals from Flir, Pulsar, Bering, AGM and Nvision. If I were in your shoes I’d take a look at the new model of Bering Hogster. The Bering units have a great image, good features and good customer service. Whatever you get, make sure it’s got a solid...
