    RemArms Sloppy Warranty Repair

Is Remington really fitting bolts to receivers, or just throwing bolts in and checking with Go/No Go gauges.....

    RemArms Sloppy Warranty Repair

Eh, trigger worked fine, wasn't even one of his concerns......missing bolt, yeah, that's an issue.

    RemArms Sloppy Warranty Repair

Eh, I guess I'm the one person that would accept staking the pins. It's a mass-produced Remington after all.

    Why is my scope canted?

Maybe you can't trust top surfaces of knobs/caps to match the reticle.....trust the reticle. Then again, we're looking at two cheap plastic spirit levels that could come as prizes in a Crackerjacks box.

Problem with one of my gun safes.

At least dial locks might give an indication that something is going wrong right before they fail; dial feels "gritty/rough" or suddenly it took two tries to unlock.

Getting a 1k class gun built

Unless the smith is a total F-class shooter themselves, it's like asking a mechanic that built your engine what tires to get for the track....

Getting a 1k class gun built

I'm surprised that you are not getting lots of good advice from other F-class shooters in your club. I "dabble" in F-class LR with our club, mainly I shoot NRA XTC. The guys I occasionally shoot with are really high level competitors, really knowledgeable and helpful. F-class guys are all proud...

    7.62 Mk316-ish hand load expectations

The classic 41.5gr IMR 4064, GI brass, with SMK 175 is one of those loads that universally works "well enough" in almost all rifles.

    Sizing die woes

Does your clean, resized brass pass the "plunk" test in a clean/scrubbed chamber? Not loaded, just the brass. Drop in, drop out easily?

Chamber issue on Compass Lake built Aero M5

Not saying it's the issue here, but a large frame 308 AR is a little bit harder to drive accurately/consistently and is more dependent on shooting technique.

    7.62 Mk316-ish hand load expectations

Most likely this is the load & shooters' capabilities. How does it do at distance, like 300-600yds?

    Difference in temp

If your diopter is not properly adjusted, the focus and parallax may not be aligned and while the target image (focus) is crisp, there may be some parallax error present.

How to improve offhand accuracy with AR15

That's pretty good if your keeping close to that at 100 yds. Our offhand NRA targets at 200 yards is 11-1/2" so it's about the same size MOA.

How to improve offhand accuracy with AR15

I will admit that the Highpower offhand position is not optimum for other shooting sports such as practical carbine or some other "run-n-gun" shooting. But, the fundamentals of "sight focus" and dry-fire practice to reduce your wobble zone are universal to any shooting sport.
  19. smoothy8500

How to improve offhand accuracy with AR15

A lot of dry-fire practice is the key. Yes, there's wobble, but as you learn to control the rifle, the wobble diminishes. Another key is maintaining a "sight focus" on the crosshair or dot of your scope. You will develop the subconscious coordination of the eye and trigger finger to fire as the...

Gunsmithing Are All Headspace Gauges Created Equal ?

They make them....but you're going to pay through the nose for it. If you don't trust your gauges (dropped/damaged), toss them and buy new ones from a qualified mfr.
