34mm scope an AR rimfire?
Mega Machine made these. You should be able to get as far forward as you need. Or have someone that knows how to shoot look at your position. The son in-laws and I shot 400 yards with 22's last weekend 22-24 moa with 3 different rifles and ammunition.- Criver600

243 vs 6mm Dasher trying to understand....
6mm Dashers dominate 600 yard benchrest. I've got a 1" group at 600 yards hanging on the wall. Under 2" no big deal. You're not performing at that level with junk. You need be able to load ammunition capable of winning a match. Much better barrel life, lower recoil etc. I've shot 243/243...- Criver600

Neck/chamber clearance
It has to be brass fired in the subject rifle. One or two pieces of fired brass, see if you can slip a bullet in the unsized case.- Criver600

RimX in an AT-X, any issues?
No issues, I have two RimX rifles. One in a Mcmillan M40A1, and this AT-X AICS. Both have Bartlien 5 groove 1/16 barrels spun up by TS Customs- Criver600

34mm rings for a pre-1964 Winchester Model 70 (30-06)
Pre-64-model 70, .308. I'm running a beat up Schmidt & Bender 3x12x50, 30mmm. Leupold QRW2 rings and bases. (Leupold makes these in 34mm) Going to give Murphy Precision a call and get a custom picatinny rail.- Criver600
