    whats the deal with arken optics?

    I have been lucky on all my Arken items, scopes, mounts, and rings. Everything has worked perfectly, and the tracking is all spot on for the 4 that I have now. The EP5 especially, so far, has been stellar!! I am not here for the USA/China debate, as everyone has China in there somewhere...

    Sub $500-ish 308AR scope recs?

    My throw in is for Arken as well. All of mine have been nothing but awesome, and my new EP5 (even though out of your $$$ range) is a badass!! I have SH4's on my comp rifle, and about to swap it out for the EP5. I have SH4's on my AR10, AR15, 17HMR, 22LR's, and they are built like a tank!!

    New Arken Offering

    The difference that you feel in the EP5 turret, is that it has 10MIL per rev, vs the 8MIL per rev of the SH4. The EP5 still has great turrets, but the spacing part does make a noticeable difference.

    The weight of the scope itself doesn't bother me. My EP4 has been great, same as my SH4's. I would imagine that the EP5 would work just as well! DK
