Went to a shoot the other day. It was timed and my first shots were all hits but my follow ups were rough. Besides my poor marksmanship, I think the heavy bolt manipulation played a role. Anything to help besides just working it over hundreds of times? Anywhere to polish? Coatings? I’d...

    Caldwell BR Pivot...where??

Today CMP issued a full refund and told me to keep the table. Apparently the company has recently been purchased and this product was actually on the chopping block. I may own the very last CMP Precision Shooting Bench made.

    Caldwell BR Pivot...where??

Just got the CMP Precision Varmint Shooting Bench today. I'm not pleased with the fit and finish at all. I've videoed and emailed the maker. The top wobbles badly and is anything but precision. Maybe i got a crappy one, but if this table is built "correctly", I'd look elsewhere. I'll return...

    Caldwell BR Pivot...where??

I have the CMP Precision Varmint Shooting Bench coming now. Should be here first of next week if you can wait a couple days and it looks like something you might want. https://custommetalprod.com/precision-varmint-shooting-bench-b77

New press announcement from Area 419

Thanks for the heads up on the RCBS model. I was only aware of the CPS. I'm still in the research phase since previously all I reloaded was handgun ammunition and shotshells. This would be my first foray into shouldered cases.

New press announcement from Area 419

I think people forget that different people value different things. If the only thing that is of value with a press is the quality of ammunition it is capable of producing, then you’re less likely find sufficient increase in value from your current set up. There are other factors that...

My rifle came with a T torque from the factory. It is inexpensive and Eric said it was not the Seektonic one

To be honest, I haven't tried bumping the scope to see if it is just a loose mount. I check to see if the mount or scope is loose, but not with my torque wrench. I just check to see if I can rotate the scope by hand.

Yes. When I go from 6.5 to 223, there would be an expected shift. When I switch back to 6.5, the POI of the 6.5 from the previous zero is off at least an inch and often 2+. The 223 barrel shifts some but less than 1” usually. I am installing the same every time, as well. Slide barrel in...

I’m literally at whit’s end. When I switch barrels, I lose zero. Usually about 1-1.5” shift in any direction, but can be over 2” on my ES Tactical. My SAC .223 is more consistent but it does shift a bit. I am using the cheap ass torque T that came with the rifle. Is that the likely offender...

It doesn’t meet the 250gr+ requirement but the 300 PRC is a pretty interesting round and ammo is much less expensive.

    First thoughts: Kriss Defiance (DMK22)

To OP’s original purpose, I had the same problem and tackled it differently. I now have a suppressed Browning Buckmark with a TacSol barrel and suppressor using a small red dot sight. Subsonic ammo keeps the sound super quiet and the red dot works in all conditions. I can’t shoot offhand tiny...

    Short 22 pistol for suppressor?

I like my Buckmark with a Tactical Solutions barrel. I have the 6” barrel but the 4” makes the thing pretty short.

    I’ll double check that

When I say rotate, it is before I close the bolt. The barrel can rotate a bit back and forth when it is proper position. I always rotate mine to the max counter clockwise just in case so when I close the bolt, it will already be in the counter clockwise most position. The ES Tactical barrel...

Do you rotate the barrel counter clockwise so it won’t rotate when you close the bolt?

New A2 chassis and new barrels. Have had this problem from the beginning. Chassis is vertical during the barrel change. I have shot in situations with both swings and stable. I am always using factory ammo. I have shot from both prone and bench With no discernible difference in results.

Ok, I need some help. Every time I change barrels, I lose zero. My E-S Tactical barrel moves 1-1.5 MOA @ 100 yards each time. Up, down, right, left. I un-tension the bolts nearest the muzzle first to furthest from the muzzle and re-torque nearest to furthest. When I insert the barrel into...

I know. When it was originally posted, I didn’t even realize the “resources” page existed. It’s a lot easier to use it than it is to remember everything.
