    I've been using the Clenzoil after cleaning, like it! What I noticed especially with the V22 is that I don't see and CCB shift, velocity is even consistent with the rounds.

    Since it was your dads and you can swing it, keep it as is and piece together another upper. That way it stays as he used it and no mods.

    Post a pic of your upper, maybe you can swing a deal with a member to switch out the A2 upper with a flat top? Also remember that with a fixed front sight, you will have a front sight "shadow" at or about 3x and less. You may be better served obtaining another purpose built upper for your needs...

    If you have to change out, exercise caution and torque specs. Long term-chassis or better yet build two guns, specific to the task. Provided you aren't smacking the bedding with the trigger, tang, etc. it should be fine. Theory, wood and steel folklore says do not do this much.

    Excellent Now-two choices, be happy and buy a couple cases of that ammunition, work on positional shooting and enjoy the rifle or----Spending a shit ton of money testing other brands, reloading gear, beating your hand with a mallet and posting pics of a .38" group.
