Purchased a Knights SR25 Sniper Package

Thanks for sharing all of the information. COTS (commercial off the shelf purchases) could come into play depending on the timeframe, the "organization/unit", and the funding streams. I am old school 80s and 90s, during that timeframe we made several COTS purchases when warranted just prior to...

Purchased a Knights SR25 Sniper Package

"Organizations" are funded with Tax Payer Dollars, regardless of which "Budget" those dollars are coming from. As such those rifles should not be "Sold" to anyone, unless the funds from the rifle being sold are placed back into the same "Budget". Of course this brings up the issue of who and how...

Purchased a Knights SR25 Sniper Package

I am not sure how rifles that were bought & paid for with tax dollars, end up being sold to civilians for ridiculous amounts of money? Is that money being put back into the defense budget? If the military no longer needs them, they should be sent to CMP and raffled off to military veterans!

    SOLD Gone

You might want to fix your title, not too many people are looking to pay $7000 for a barrel blank! Unless that is your marketing ploy, I had to look to see what kind of blank was worth $7K!

Lapping Scope rings - I see mostly No but some Yes

Lapping was the old solution to poor production/quality parts, and largely due to separate scope rings being mounted on separate surfaces. With modern manufacturing, single piece scope mounts, and single piece rail mounting options, there is really no longer a need for it. If you need to lap a...

Anyone manually dump and trickle on a A&D FX120i?

I started with RCBS Chargemasters (older model) many years ago. I wanted to improve the accuracy of the charge weights so I bought an A&D FX-120i and started checking the charges. Needless to say, checking the weights, the Chargemasters were throwing all over the place. I now throw with the...

"Long Action" Semi-Auto Rifles - What's the consensus?

Well, given that everyone seems to be more interested in posting everything other than actually discussing the performance of these rifles, I am done wasting my time with it. For those who actually tried to provide some feedback on the rifles, thank you.

    New 338ARC from Hornady…

Points also being, this is a rifle round, and the majority of rifle shooters are not running a caliber/round bigger than .30 cal., so they are also not running a suppressor bigger than .30 caliber. Some shooters are OK running a larger caliber suppressor, to have a "one works on all approach"...

    New 338ARC from Hornady…

I will throw in another Con, this will require a .33 cal. suppressor. They tend to be large, heavy, and pricey when compared to a .30 cal. suppressor. That is why I have stuck with a .300 Blk versus trying out the 8.6 Blk.

"Long Action" Semi-Auto Rifles - What's the consensus?

First & Foremost, thanks to everyone for the feedback. I started this topic with 3 long action semi-auto options, and that list has at least tripled with everyone's feedback. To try and clarify a couple of things: - My intent in starting this was not to just get an answer for myself, it was to...

"Long Action" Semi-Auto Rifles - What's the consensus?

I am attempting to create a topic where the performance/reliability of "long action" semi-auto AR platforms can be discussed. If you can provide some type of feedback along those lines, please feel free to contribute. If not, please also feel free to move onto something else.

"Long Action" Semi-Auto Rifles - What's the consensus?

Thanks for that feedback, it is exactly what I think will be beneficial in this topic. I have found about a 50/50 mix when it comes to the topic of Bear Creek Arsenal. Some users are reporting great performance, and others say they are a complete piece of junk. An interesting review of the...

"Long Action" Semi-Auto Rifles - What's the consensus?

I was hoping to get some feedback going on performance/reliability, not a discussion on application, but since it has been brought up. Primary application for me is nuisance, predator, or population control at longer ranges where wind can be a significant factor. These can frequently be...

"Long Action" Semi-Auto Rifles - What's the consensus?

Looking for any discussion/feedback on the "long action" semi-auto rifle platforms. Specifically, how are they performing? This could apply to several "long action" calibers, not just .300 WM. The intent is NOT to debate the applications for these rifles. Some of those platforms include: Nemo...

    7mm SAUM AR

Thanks for sharing all of the information in this topic! I ran a 7 SAUM bolt rifle, one of the best shooters with the great 7mm bullet options. I had always considered building a gas rifle but never got to it. As with the bolt rifle, the OAL running the best high BC bullets out of a mag was...

The fact that we know how shitty our government is and we still sit and do nothing but let them FUCK us.

"Patriots" have "stood by" while: - We are taxed in every way possible, with those taxes going to everyone but American citizens - Multiple elections have been stolen - All of our constitutional freedoms are under attack - The country has been flooded by illegal immigrants - Thousands have died...

Tikka 260 Rem - First 9 Shots With Different Charge Weights Have Flyers

Your Barrel vs. Others - I am obviously not sure what barrel profile you are using, but he is using a Light Palma. If you are using a heavy profile barrel vs. a light profile barrel, it would not be an apples to oranges comparison. Changing Barrel Behavior - Adding more weight to the end of...
