    Rifle Scopes Athlon reticle question

Is the reticle on a Conus BTR as thin as the Midas TAC? Long story short, I finally got the wife out to the range over Christmas and she did really good. My rifles didn't fit her very well so I decided to try to put together a cheap, used rifle for her. If she likes shooting I'll get her...

    MDT Oryx Chassis

I've been evaluating two different versions of bag rides from Jamer (https://www.jamerllc.com/) One vision is shorter, wider and really locks into a rabbit ear bag for shooting from a rest and the other is long and narrow and works well for a squeeze bag. Both versions slip on in place of the...

    MDT Oryx Chassis

Using MDT mags, both poly and metal w/o any issues whatsoever.

    MDT Oryx Chassis

About as hard as removing 2 screws, moving the action to the Oryx and putting the two screws back, takes less than 5 minutes. It would take less, but on of the screws is under the mag release to you have to install that separately after the two action screws.

    Rifle Scopes Scope for 22LR

Have a Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x50 on my 10/22 and couldn't be happier. At $340 it's a bit out of your price range, but well worth it. You might consider a 6-24x50 Vortex Strike Eagle, I have one on an AR and it's no slouch. Euro Optics is closing them out for $299...

Suppressors Direct thread or muzzle device?

Getting ready to E-file my form 1 for a can that will be used on my 6.5 and several .223s. My question is direct thread (bushing, rockset or similar almost permanent attachment, on the 223s to go from 1/2" to 5/8) or muzzle devices with the same attachment type on all? What are the pros and...

What's up with Columbia River Arms?

Found the twitter feed and used search to find the FB page, posts from Friday on an upcoming barrel reveal on both sites, not what I would expect from a company closing their doors. I sent them a FB message I'll post what I hear. If their phones are IP based a failed server might explain what's...

6.5 Creedmoor Ammo for Ruger American

My RAP shoots American Gunner and Sellier & Bellot 140s at or just below 1" @100 and shoots 140 ELD Match 5/8"- 3/4". I generally shoot the AG as it's good enough for steel at the 600 yard max range I shoot at. I can hit a 12" gong with such regularity it's almost boring, almost. Just got...

What's up with Columbia River Arms?

I ordered a barrel on black Friday and they said 8-12 weeks. It's been 10 weeks so I emailed to see if they had an ETA on the barrel and the email bounced. I know I had the right address as I replied to an earlier email. After the email bounced I went to their web page and it won't open...

    Remington 700 barreled action

Buy the action here https://northlandshooterssupply.com/actions/remington/ Remington actions typically use a shouldered barrel which require fitting by a gunsmith. What a lot of guys do is by a "Remage" barrel that uses a barrel nut to lock down the barrel like a Savage action. To put them...

Rifle Scopes Arken Optics EP-4 Tracking Test Video

It was never my intention to imply the scopes are cheaply made, my point was cheap and good isn't going to be fast and that the lack of available product is frustrating. I'm sure all the guys at Arken are even more frustrated, it's very hard to keep a business afloat when you have no inventory...

Rifle Scopes Arken Optics EP-4 Tracking Test Video

The money in hand ready to buy part is kind of where I am. Frank and others have had some really good things to say about these scopes, but I've got a new rifle that's been sitting around for almost 6 weeks waiting on glass. If memory serves, when I got the rifle the 6-24x50s were 6-8 weeks...

    Oryx chassis

Doesn't do too bad with heat. I can run 20 rounds in 5 shot groups pretty much as fast as I can load the mag and shoot before I start getting any real mirage off the barrel. I've shot to the point of being barely able to touch the barrel with no real change in groups. On mine I switched out...

    Oryx chassis

I've got a 6.5 Creedmoor S/S RAP in an Oryx with a Vortex PST II. Shoots sub MOA with good ammo and MOA with American Gunner. It's shot as well as 1 1/2" @ 200 with 140gr Hornady ELD match. I can hit a 10" plate at 500 with such regularity it's almost boring.
