If you had an axsr with 300nm and 6.5cm, is there any caliber in between that make you want a 300wm bolt?
I mean short action calibers are covered and the large magnums are covered. I there anything win mag sized that’s cool enough to be worth it?
Seriously. Every time I pass the FWB church I just chuckle. Maybe I’m the one missing out though…
(For any of you Yankees reading, that’s Free Will Baptists that have HoJod and IHOPd themselves)
Could you bond an axsr? I mean the only thing stopping you would be if you need to pull the action to do maintenance on the trigger right?
But if you could swap a trigger without removing the action, why not bond it? (Yeah I know AI will say it’s not needed)
My understanding is the old “cg Jackson” trigger evolved into Tom Myers “mod22” Xtreme trigger. I don’t remember when I started using that trigger but it was maybe a year or two before the first mammoth. I used them exclusively in the first and second gen bighorns and then surgeons over about...
So you might find that another advantage of the coax. The factory standard shell plates would handle all those and if you needed to do smaller or larger cartridges the other shell plate is $45. I mean $8 for a shell holder isn’t the end of the world but when you buy 15 of them it adds up. If...
Long list of features, but the top ones are that the dies are super easy to snap in and out. It’s not a big deal when you’re making 300 rounds for a match and you size 300 then seat 300 etc.
but when you’re working up loads or just want to make small batches at a time 3-5 rounds to check...
It’s definitely not the nf because hardly anyone has even heard of them but I’m a big fan of the harrels combo press for short action cartridges. https://www.6mmbr.com/harrellscombopress.html but it looks like they don’t make them anymore so you’ll have to find a used one.
The coax is...
I got lost on what we’re trying to accomplish here. Run the ELR off an external battery? Where would you put the battery? Would you wear it? And what would the advantage of that be? Are you trying to save weight by removing the 4 lithium batteries?
But imho it’s so good that if they’d fixed the LCD, we’d basically be left complaining about how the color doesn’t match <random scope mfg> babyshit yellow.
I will say though, the more I use it the less I like the “on” button.
@Capitol5868 totally agree with everything you said. especially the warranty part as that's why i bought one.
except... i thought the 1.5 and 2.0 were the same thing just with plastic instead of metal case, and stand alone functionality. so, reasonable people could compare them, especially...
@Nohuddlefirearms interesting video. i noticed you focused on switching between whot/bhot but didn't cycle through the modes (basic, image sharpening, adaptive, wide range) which I've found make a ton of difference. Does the 2.0 not have the same modes as the 1.5? the mode you used in the...
Wrt us and eu versions, is something gained by the limited fov? Ie is the limiting mechanism completely artificial and 100% negative or is it a change to the design that has some slight trade off like a tiny bit better resolution etc?
