    The blank still has to be drilled and reamed to a final size before a mandrel is inserted to hammer on. The only way to not have any type of these marks is a quality cut rifled barrel as the marks are cut away. With a button barrel they are usually swaged away but not always.

    I had a 223 AK and it was more accurate than most of my AR15 rifles I have owned. But it was with reloads not the steel cased junk. The steel case stuff actually shoots very well if you replace the bullet with something good. SD's in the single digits was normal.

    I chuck the die up in my lathe and cut it out. Find someone that has a lathe near you. You tun it down on the inside to leave just a foil thickness and pick it right out.
