Night Vision IRay RH25 Micro video/picture thread

I don’t know how many people were actually testing these but I clearly missed it. Like I said above, I ran it from dark to daylight two days in a row in a yote competition helmet mounted and never saw it. Of course I was focused on shooting dogs and not the image as much but I hunted 2 days and...

I haven’t heard anyone else complain about the rounded edges. I also haven’t seen the edges flash off at any time. If you turn the unit off and look into the eyepiece you can still see the rounded edges on the screen. I will ask and see what they say though, maybe there’s a way to access a mode...

They’ve already been working on it and are continuing to work on it. It’s a relatively simple fix because it’s a software update. Yes it sucks they knew about it and didn’t say anything but in all fairness, they still released a product that 95% of people will be completely happy with. I ran the...

A 1-6, 1-8 or 1-10 is ideal with it. Illuminated reticle isn’t necessary but it’s nice to have. Tube size doesn’t matter at all. Even a 4x Acog or Elcan works great with it. Jay

I think your expectations of this little thing are a bit low, as it should be, it’s better to really be skeptical about something prior to buying it vs just thinking it’s the best thing since sliced bread. The micro is small, smaller than the voodoo but not quite as small as a skeet. Yes it...

Your exactly right. My 3-12 S&B doesn’t even look very good with it. It’s definitely an acog, Elcan, 1-8/1-10 clip on. I have 3 left in hand right now if anyone needs one. Jay

But not cold bore, my barrel length greatly affects my muzzle velocity unfortunately….

The camera I use, or any cameras for that matter, has to be PERFECTLY centered or the edges will darken/blur at higher magnification. It’s hard to get that thing perfect. But yes, it’s not the thermal causing that. Jay

Thanks for the kind words sir! I’ve actually never owned a fox pro, I’ve used them but never got one. I’ve always been pretty successful without it so figured I’d stick to my old ways. Jay

That was about 275. I tried to get him closer for a better shot at him in the taller grass but the wind wasn’t great, plus I just killed his buddy right in front of him haha. Then the bastard layed down! Tried everything to get him to stand up and it wasn’t happening. So I put it where his body...

Night Vision News just broke. Iray Rico Micro. Skeet IRX / Voodoo competitor for half the price ? Discussions thread.

I still dont have a manual for the micro but from what i can tell its like this. Take it out of the box, pop it on a rifle in front of whatever day optic you intend to use and go to the alignment selection in the menu. Adjust the screen until your poi is the same as your day scope. There are...

I am indeed impressed with the micro in front of a 1-10 and as I said before the video will be done soon. I got some good video from last night. You are exactly right on the amount of viewing area that the sensor has to analyze. The more FOV the unit has, the harder the sensor has to work. I...

Very true. The RH25 will net a much better image at distance compared to a NOX. The Pvs-14 eyepiece was never meant to focus to a flat surface. The output screen on an Image Intensifier is dished out. I don’t remember the degree in which it’s shaped but it isn’t flat. We’re not talking a major...

I do not agree with you here. A narrower FOV is a direct representation of the pairing of the sensor and the objective lens. That has nothing to do with the display and ocular lens. The display and ocular lens however is exactly what changes the useable magnification range when used as a clip...
