Same Projectile, Different Brass, Same CBTO

Measure the oal without any attachment just using the calipers. Now that I see how your doing it, I believe this is a thing. I don’t even understand the purpose of the piece your using on the base.

300wm in PRS? Hear me out..

So what’s the barrel life on the WM? You gonna shoot 10 outings and get a new barrel? Can you get 100 rounds out of a pound of powder? You said you have lots of wm ammo? What is a lot and is factory or hand loaded? I shoot a bastard round in the 7-08 so don’t think I’m being a giant...

Same Projectile, Different Brass, Same CBTO

I’m confused, why would you reset the seating die between brass types. How would you change the die and not expect a different result? It’s very possible I’m misunderstanding.

    Building perfect brass sorting/processing/reloading space

Don’t forget the doors. I insulated mine after 2 years. Cost around $200 I think. Cut my electric bill by 35% roughly. My wife was less than proud of me since it took two years.

    Building perfect brass sorting/processing/reloading space

Mini-split was my single best purchase for my shop. It even has a dehumidifier mode for when I don’t need heat/cool. I am running double the needed btu for quick cool and heat cycles. Being a dc compressor it runs at the required speed vs cycling all the time. This also helps with humidity...

    BEWARE OF PROOF PREFITS

I’m not calling bs on a 50 barrel claim. I’ve been kind on here because they did give me good customer service, but the original prefit I got from them was the shittiest chambering I’ve ever saw. It was so rough it marked the brass. They did replace the barrel and tell me it was to eliminate...

    Area 419 Zero Press

The stand is definitely not necessary if you are permanently mounting the press. I use the stand and clamps because I move my press around and also take it to the range. My T7 is also on a stand and I switch them around depending on what I’m doing. At the range I can have them all loaded...

    Area 419 Zero Press

I really like their shell holder system. I also bought lock rings. A stand from inline fabrications. I’ll follow up as I remember.

Area 419 Zero Press vs SCA Nexus Press

I think anyone having issues with the lock rings on the Zero is drinking far too much, or the lack understanding. Now, I have a Zero and a T7 among others I don’t recommend the Zero over the T7. Not for my use.

    Question on choosing dies

I use the SAC die and 419 shell holder set. I don’t know that 419 shell holder is useable with presses other than the zero. At least not the set I got. The Redding Competition seater is a good choice.

    22cm issues

Proof stands behind their barrels In my experience. They quickly replaced mine which had a bad chamber.

Question on resizing with SAC die

SAC with or without a mandrel? Lube inside your neck better. I’ve actually had it make brass longer.

    Here it comes, "God's Army"

This thinking was their goal. Fear. Don’t get me wrong, I’m scared too.

    PortaJohn

I’m pretty sure that’s not a score but a percentile ranking of people. A 50 being exactly the middle of the pack for all the people who took it that year.

I was expecting a different thread.

Do you use expanding mandrels after a full-length bushing die for neck sizing?

If all this push vs pull determines the tool then how many of you remove the expander ball from the sizing die to size, then put it back in to push it through the neck? Wouldn’t this just make it a round mandrel with your thinking? I think we’re losing sight of the benefits of the mandrel.

AMP really worth the extra $$$$$$

I currently use the ugly annealer and am happy enough with it but it’s the only piece where I’ve not upgraded. I’ll be buying the amp eventually. The torch will do the same job but at the cost of time to set up and patience.
