    Yeah, shit happens sometimes when you're hunting, it's good to have a quick follow-up on tap to seal the deal if needed. That's very interesting performance from the 125gr SSTs, I would have expected them to be soft at those velocities, but it sounds like they behaved excellently.

    In general, I'd look for 25-30 fps per inch loss in the 24" - 20" range. Maybe a little more in the shorter barrels, but not much.

    I'm curious about the weight too, I have kind of a Walmart version of that rifle going together, Tikka with Stockys carbon stock and a 19" featherweight carbon-six barrel in 7 PRC. Bare rifle weight should probably be similar though.

    That'll do pig. I'd be tempted to try subbing a 125gr Accubond or 130gr TTSX into that general load range to see if it likes other similar weight bullets around that speed. I picked up some of the new AAC 150gr FMJ loads to try out in my SFAR to see how it likes them as a plinking round, but...

    It doesn't take much believing if you've played around with an 18" 6.5 CM. It's not hard to get those velocities with RL16 or Staball, not to mention RL26.

    I haven't really been keeping count, but I've got to be on the 4th or 5th firing on some of mine. I just go/no go the primer pocket when decapping, and toss cases once the no go fits. I've lost some, but I don't really think at a higher rate than my Grendel, and probably a lower rate than my SFAR.

    I tried H, H2 and H3 in my SFAR. H3 had reliability problems, both H and H2 worked, but I wound up settling on H.

    When you sell your new SFAR, I assume you'll include a disclosure in the Ad that it's a broken and dangerous piece of junk right? I might be interested in picking it up for spare parts, assuming it's priced fairly for a non-firing, display only rifle.

    I've been using ASC and Duramags in my 18" and 21", mostly bullets in the 90gr to 112gr range over LVR or Staball Match, and H brass. No reliability issues, SA block tuned to run suppressed and unsuppressed, but pretty much always run suppressed.
