    What about FN .264 LICC?

I don't think this is true. What other published sources for ARC data are you referring to beyond Hodgdon and Hornady to make this claim? Edit: We should probably take this interesting line of discussion to the DMs to avoid derailing this thread more. I look forward to learning about new...

    What about FN .264 LICC?

Yes there are discrepancies between the data put out by the company that developed the cartridge and the company that markets but doesn't make powders. I shoot other cartridges than Grendel and ARC, the Staball question was a general question. Did you try these powders in a Grendel or ARC...

    What about FN .264 LICC?

Nah, I don't think so. I've never seen a whiff of real evidence that Hornady is putting out Grendel or ARC that is over SAAMI pressures, just speculation. Repeating speculation doesn't make it true, would love to see some real pressure data if you have it though. QL accuracy is dependent on...

    What about FN .264 LICC?

I don't really understand what's being argued in this thread on 6 ARC vs 6.5 G, but since folks seem to be using box or Quickload numbers for 18" ARC velocities, here is factory 108gr and my main handload out of my 18". I haven't been very impressed with Quickload modeling of progressive...

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

It was my main powder in my Grendel and I also use it in .308. I have some 90gr TGKs laying around, curious what your load is? I shot these spreads with AR-Comp and RL15.5 a while ago, but haven't worked up a load with either, probably stopped a bit low with the AR-Comp.

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

Has any one tried AR-Comp much in their ARC? I realize it's faster than optimal, but I shot this spread to check for velocity last time out, and it wasn't bad. The case heads were pristine, and I usually have a little ejector marking on my brass from my standard LVR loads suppressed, although...

Best Hub Adapter/Brake setup for Suppressor

I used to use Griffin Plan-a, it was ok, but I didn't like how often the adapter would stay with the muzzle device instead of the can when unmounting. Went to DA Xeno and have been satisfied, haven't had any more adapter to can issues since going to the left hand threads.

    338 ARC

That makes things a little more interesting for us poors, I could see myself getting a daily deal upper to play with at some point, especially with some cheap AAC fodder to run. https://www.instagram.com/palmettostatearmoryofficial/p/DBrjF36yocV/

    7mm PRC

Curious what happened, unsuccessful because you didn't get a shot, or did you have bullet problems?

Hornady is making knockoff/clone bullets (Aeromatch)

It'd be a nice opportunity for them to ship over a product that's actually supposed to have lead in it, for a change.

    20" 300wsm Load

Here's are a few spreads I shot with my 18" 300 WSM when starting load work with 200gr ELDx, 168gr E-tip and 165gr TGK over RL-16 and Staball 6.5. I was impressed with how well Staball 6.5 worked in the WSM, also in a 17" .280 ai for that matter.

Hornady is making knockoff/clone bullets (Aeromatch)

No, he's exactly right, and this word salad is wrong on many levels. Comparing Hornady to Walmart is the commercial equivalent of comparing any political group I don't like to Nazis, stupid. Unless the private equity and foreign owned bullet makers have enforceable IP on the shape of their...

Hornady is making knockoff/clone bullets (Aeromatch)

Some of these brigands are duplicating not just one but two esteemed designs and bragging about it in their website copy! How could they knock off poor old Salvage and Big Groan like that! Address the market properly or get scooped, it doesn't get much more American than that.

    Short barrel cartridges

Who cares about MPBR, this isn't a 25-06 with a duplex on top? In Wyoming a better question is "what is the drift in full value 20 mph breeze at 400 yds", aka any given Tuesday in October/November.

    Subsonic hunting

This is my take too, pistol bullets are much cheaper in general than heavy for caliber rifle bullets. Basic HPs start out much wider are more likely to be in their expansion window @ 1,050 fps without out having to buy premium purpose built designs. I really like my 44/77 and Henry X, plan on...

    Short barrel cartridges

Another good option, my 19" 7PRC is topping out around 2,800 fps with Ramshot Grand and 175gr ELDx, 160gr class could of course be pushed faster.

    Short barrel cartridges

I'm not I'm not being pedantic, I'm saying I've tried what you're theorizing about, and the equivalencies and generalities you're throwing out as facts are wrong. I'm saying I've found the real world difference between top end .308 and .30-06 loads is usually closer to150fps, not the 50fps...

    Short barrel cartridges

I would say it's an assumption, it's not based on data, data is measured, it's based on the outputs of modeling software that you haven't trued or validated. It could be accurate or way off for the .30-06, you don't know because you don't have any actual data for the '06 to see how your model is...

    Short barrel cartridges

This is a common assumption in these threads, but in my experience isn't true. I've had .308's at 16", 18", 20" and 22" and .30-06s at 18.5" and 22", and loaded for all of them, with optimal loads in both .30-06 has always maintained about the same lead in short and long barrels. Whether that...

Rifle Scopes MK5 HD 2-10x new reticles coming?

I just bought the FFP version of this scope to take the place of a Helos 2-12 that shit the bed twice. With the relatively simple TMR reticle and illumination, it looks good on low and high power to me, although I agree with the principle that for a 2.5-10x, the reticle holdovers are mostly only...
