Night Vision N-vision Halo LR Bobro Mount

That looks a lot better. You even have the LoP set out a bit. Guess I’m ordering one. Unless someone has one they aren’t using anymore?

Night Vision N-vision Halo LR Bobro Mount

I am having similar issue with eye relief with the stock mount on a Trijicon IR Hunter. I know this is an old thread, but if possible could you measure approximately how much further the Bobro mount moves the scope to the rear? It's a pricey mount if it isn't going to make much different. The...

Thermal or NV on a rimfire

Well since I had a IR Hunter to try out I threw it in the Vudoo. Worked really well. Would have been perfect if the mount had some cantilever to it. Really need to find something different for a mount. 1 for 1 @ 74yds on the first night on rats.

Suppressors First (possibly only) centerfire suppressor?

I don’t think that materials matter to much to the meters, but to my ear and most of the approaching middle age people that I shoot with; there is a difference in tone between a 17-4 can and a Ti can. The Ti seems to have a higher pitch, where the steel is a bit more mellow. That being said...

Which 22lR suppressor should I get?

Your going to appreciate the Mask being out of stock. The Oculus is a great choice. I never use the modular aspect of it but it is the most accurate rimfire can I’ve tested on my Vudoo. It’s also quiet (really they all are pretty quiet) with very minimal first round pop. It’s very robust and...

Suppressors First (possibly only) centerfire suppressor?

Read the thread and then went back to the top to see when you asked the question. If you’d already bought something, I didn’t want to waste my time. I have over a dozen cans from many different manufacturers. Including most of the ones mentioned above. Don’t have any Otter Creek though...

Thermal or NV on a rimfire

That could definitely be true. I have the handhelds too and they definitely record. I could certainly be confusing the different models.

Thermal or NV on a rimfire

I can’t say how the gap is effecting it right now because it’s the first thing I’ve tried it on. You have to be in about 2.2x in order to fill the scopes fov, which seems about normal I guess. That’s about what is was when I put my PVS-14 in front of another 1-8, so seems normal to me, but I...

Thermal or NV on a rimfire

I’m running a Burris clip on BTC-50 in front of a Bushnell 1-8. It’s working alright. I have a Burris BtS-50 and it seems a lot better frankly. But I have it set up for coyotes on a SPR type Aero AR that shoots lights out with cheap reloads, and don’t really want to mess up that set up to shoot...

Thermal or NV on a rimfire

That’s pretty sweet. I’ve seen a few YouTube vids of bolt on LRF setups for night stuff. Looks like they’re out of stock most places right now. Would definitely be worth it. Seems like they go for around $300. I’d much rather buy the Halo XRF, but my wallet protests at that. I have been...

Night Vision Bering Optics Super Hogster A3 LRF: First Look

These look great with a lot of promise. I can’t say I understand the 4 AA battery choice though. I agree that CR123s aren’t optimal and aren’t easy in the wallet, but why not go with 18650s? Is there a good AA option I haven’t seen yet?

Thermal or NV on a rimfire

Was wondering how I was missing these things at 70-100+ Yards. Turns out they’re the size of a golf ball. Definitely a challenging shot at that distance through a thermal. Not sure if I should post pics of them. Don’t want to offend anyone.

Thermal or NV on a rimfire

Well, it isn’t how I’d draw it up but it works. I put an extra 1-8 scope I had laying around on a Vudoo with the Burris clip on and went to work with it. Being new to clip ons, I was surprised that the zero from the scope didn’t change when I added the clip on. Don’t know if I got lucky there...

Thermal or NV on a rimfire

Well I found a mount for the Burris clip in that was surplus to my needs and it should be here this weekend. I’m thinking of putting a Strike Eagle 1-8 on the Vudoo and the clip I’m in front of that. That’s assuming that the Nv bridge on one of my chassis is in the correct spot to allow for...

Thermal or NV on a rimfire

Sooo, I have a few thermal and night vision options sitting around waiting for a job. This got me thinking that it would be sweet to mount one up on a rimfire and start looking to some of the nighttime crowd around the house. I live in the middle of no where, so it's not a big deal to use them...

    Tooling marks in bore

That looks like most, if not all of my Savage factory barrels. And I'm talking about the heavy barreled and target versions. I was a little taken aback when I first got a bore scope and saw that. Then I looked at my log book for the 6br model and saw that it hadn't shot a single group that...

The Unofficially Official Sub-Caliber/“Micro Bore” thread!

I’ve wanted to get a 20VT for a long time. Shot with an old timer on PDs a long time ago and he had a can on it. It was super quiet and had essentially zero recoil in the 14# rifle he had . Sipped powder and never heated up the barrel. PDs put on some acrobatic displays when he hooked up...

What would your Dream bench gun be ?

For a strictly bench or non tactical type rifle I’m a big fan of having a left port and right bolt. Or even a dual port. I built a RBLP Defiance a decade or so ago and put a 6BR barrel on it with a BnA benchrest trigger. I have a Sightron 10-50 on it and it’s in a benchrest type stock that has...

    Gone

I don't mean to Monday morning quarter back this, but for others that have expensive and highly pilfer able items, Airtags work and are $20 a piece at Costco. Easy to put in a rifle case in the foam or inside a trailer that could easily be hauled off. The look on peoples faces when the law shows...
