    Didn't stick the landing...

Depends on the operator. Previous operator of mine had us crank it and on the bus prior to the FAF, current operator doesn’t require it unless qrh driven. Etops is either on demand or continuous ops, as specified in the paperwork. As far as everyday ops, my operator is very cost driven (like...

Can I shoot 300wm out of a crux nemesis30-PMS suppressor help.

No direct experience with that can, but typically 30 cal is good for 30 cal, diameter wise. Where it can get weird is barrel length, since you’re not attempting to shoot it on a 14” 300 wm, I would shoot it on your MPR if it were me.

    Kimber Hunter info

The action is fine, nothing is as slim or lightweight. Shouldered barrels, no such thing as prefits for these. Also, just be warned, Kimber CS and as a company in general, fucking suck. They’ll be all nice and stuff, they’ll fix your stuff, then charge you through the nose for it. To top it off...

    Trump, The Second George Washington

You should read the book The Swamp Fox, about the dude who the patriot movie is very loosely based on. Talks about guys flip flopping sides constantly, depending on who happened to be “winning” at the time, paying more, or allowing looting. It’s pretty enlightening, we didn’t have a huge number...

    Federal does it again 😅

Agreed. There are so many 7’s that perform very similarly, in the market today. While I think a bunch of them are cool as shit, I’m not going to spend the time and money to invest in one for only one barrel. Especially when my current stable of calibers meets performance expectations for what I...

Where do you guys fly where you only see autolands once every other year?! I see 1 a month, November-April, every year.

Final ntsb report for woman "sucked" into jet engine.

That’s what he said around 9:40. He mentioned the NTSB list one casual factor being cognitive impairment, talks about having MS and what it does, then launches into the toxicology.

Final ntsb report for woman "sucked" into jet engine.

Super sad a young mom lost her life for whatever causal factor(‘s). After watching the full video, sound like multiple factors were in play. Chick had thc in her system, whether under the effects of, maybe, maybe not. There were some dislplincary issues, not the best employee. She also had MS...

Final ntsb report for woman "sucked" into jet engine.

Yeah, that’s not true. Now whether they get randomed in the next 2 months vs 2 years is up to the computer generated program. Multiply that by however many 1k’s to 10k’s of employees across the country is anyone’s guess. Edited to add: my company requires all employees, and employees of...

How old is “old enough” for kids to shoot Real Rifles

Every kid is different. Some earlier, some later, some never. My oldest was about 10, now he’s shooting clays on a youth team (12 now), took 2nd in cpi in a local beginner uspsa league with a stock glock 19, pretty consistent to 600 on bolt guns. My daughter at 8, has been shooting with us a...

    Trump To Rename Death Valley

Leave our mountain alone, it’s fine. Most of us prefer the native name over some dead president from OH, who never set one foot in AK.

    Tikka actions

Depends on the mission. They excel as hunting actions, nothing out there for the money beats them for those type of builds. Tikka’s are lighter, the safety locks the bolt, and it’s the perfect action for short mags, are my main reasons for building tikka’s as hunting rifles. As general purpose...

    Chasing weight...

Or jump in with both feet and see where it goes. I just built a second 300 WSM off a tikka, mesa altitude, 20” bartlein CF, with the same optic as my previous post, ultra 5, that one weighs in at 8.6#. A touch of a handful with the ultra 5, pretty pleasant with my area 419 brake or my ultra 9...

    Chasing weight...

The biggest weight savings is in stock, barrel, and optic. My origin, xlr magnesium, proof sendero 24”, ultra 5, and Zeiss v4 (23.4 oz) in NF ultralight rings weighs in at 9.7#. In 300 WSM, it’s perfect. Great balance between shootability and light enough to climb mountains, pack around for...

Recs for 8 yr old first hunting rifle????.

I set my kid up with a Tikka compact (short stock) in 6.5 cm, chopped and threaded for a can, trijicon accupoint 3-9 mil-dot. Haven’t connected yet on big game up here yet, but not his fault. Now at 12, he’s pretty hard on steel to about 500 with hold overs. If you’re already into 6.5 cm, tikka...

    Pots and fucking pans

Then your pan isn’t seasoned properly. I battled mine for a while until I figured out how to season them. Now clean up is just as fast as any other pan. Season every couple of months or so. Cast iron does require more maintenance but I would put up with it and pocket the $1k. My every day...
