The boy flew to Marshalltown (KMIW) to give my dad a ride today, his first pax. Dad lives in a retirement home there and will turn 95 in December of this year. Clear for the most part but cool. Had a row of old T hangars demoed at my dad’s which finally allowed access to drop these 3 dead standing White Pines. I’d estimate them at 50-60’ tall. All 3 down and cleaned up before lunch. Had good help.- tnichols

Pronounced “Dahlut”. 😊 A hundred years ago when I was young, we would ride the North Shore Trail up to Grand Marias (spelling?) and back over a weekend just prior to the I500. Love that area. Guy I rode with retired up there NW of GM on the Gunflint pretty close to the end of the road by Sag.- tnichols

Went to MXO today and washed the 140. Ag planes are super busy right now putting fungicide on corn. Counted 8 working out of there. Told the wife to climb up on an idling 802 so she could see how I used to spend my summers when I was young. Boy took his PP written this morning. Scored a 97...- tnichols
