    Whatcha Ridin ?

The local PD had BMWs with a locking case on the left rear for an AR carbine. Looks like a mare's leg with a hinged top. I asked a few times, but can't get an answer on where to buy one. They changed to Harley cruisers and dropped the cases before I could get a photo. Any ideas?

Rifle Scopes Loctite or no loctite on scope ring screws

Blue loctite and yellow fingernail polish. They never move, but I’m certain I’d know if they did.

    Watch your mailboxes, people.

Amazon takes a picture and sends it to me when they deliver to my box at the end of our 200 yard driveway. High dollar items they call and I meet them at the gate.

    New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

Thinking of swapping barrels and bolts on an existing 5.56 to create (another) 6mm ARC. Which barrel and bolt to use? Targets and hunting. Targets to 1K hunting to 700? for deer sized game.

    New food argument thread(Cornbread)

This thread reminds me of the first breakfast with the OMW (Original Missus Walter), a Southern Girl from West Point, MS. Me - pours milk and sugar on grits her - "What in fuck are you doing? It's not oatmeal!" her throws bowl down the drain, refills with grits, butter, black pepper me - dumps...

24” Tikka CTR for more velocity or 20” because it’s more compact and stiffer? I’d run either with a can, so 24+7 is pretty long.

Maggie’s Who knows how I can get appointed to Trump’s review board for flag grade officers?

I worked with him as the ALCOM commander when I was a Captain at Eielson. Met him a few times via briefing him on projects. I've met him a couple times since. I also know Jim Mattis, mostly through his older brother Tom. But, I suspect Mattis is not on board with this idea based on his...

@232593, Technical competency, successful mentoring, attention to details without becoming bogged down in minutia. Mission focus and a drive for excellence. Team success vs. individual recognition. I've had the pleasure of serving under and with outstanding examples of NCOs and SNCOs who...

Maggie’s Who knows how I can get appointed to Trump’s review board for flag grade officers?

It's notable that we won WWII with what, ten four star officers? It's not command of troops that drives flag grade ranks anymore, I think it's command of $$$, as in how much is spent in your area. If your point is rank and leadership ability, or inherent smarts, are different things, I agree...
