    Bartlein Carbon Wrapped Barrels

    This is perfect timing. I'm building a new rifle and was going to go Proof Research. However, I just ordered a 24" CF Bartlein .264 8t varmint from Southern Precision.....the last one they had in that configuration. The barrel it's replacing is a SS Bartlein in 6 Creedmoor. Can't wait to get it.

    Couldn't tell you for sure. Probably 1/8” to 3/16”. I haven't shot the rifle in a while and broke it down today. I'm selling everything and rebarreling the action to go from a 16 pound beast to a lightweight hunter. This is the best picture I have of the clearance.

    Older Elite Tactical LRS 3-12x44 FFP in mils with the G2 reticle. I hunted with this optic so it has some marks, but nothing major. It's been one of my favorite scopes for mid range stuff. Has MK Machining composite throw lever. Sold.

    6.5. Grendel, spitballing… which to keep?

    I'm partial to short barrels and recently built a 16" Grendel. I've had no problems out to 500 and was recently busting prairie dogs out to 350. A shorter/ lighter combo would be my choice.
