    Rifle Scopes Internal adjustment required

I'm currently searching for my first long range scope. I hope to go to at least 1000m with a 24" barreled 6.5CM with most likely 140gr bullets. What is the minimum internal adjustment I should be looking at? Would 60MOA be enough on a 20MOA rail?

Rifle Scopes Illuminated vs non-illuminated reticles

I'm searching for my first exposed turret, long range scope and was wondering if illuminated reticles were a must-have? They're obviously a positive when shooting in low light but do they have a downside? Thanks in advance.

    Hi from South Africa

Thanks all for the welcome. "Ranger" comes from the fact that I'm a volunteer game ranger at our local game reserve, have been for about 12 years. Also my first bakkie ("truck" as you know it) was a Ford Ranger which I loved. My goal with the 6.5CM is to shoot 1000m. It will take a while to get...
