    Rifle spewing gas bombs

Removing/installing the gas tube requires a small punch and takes about 10 minutes.

    Rifle spewing gas bombs

To your smoke question, probably a combo of lube/powder/rate of fire/lack of air movement.

    Rifle spewing gas bombs

Easiest is to just replace gas tube with a Black River Tactical gas tube. If you shoot lots of different ammo and you want the softest recoil you can get D. Wilson to remove your factory gas block and install an adjustable. Myself, I run BRT 50:50 gas tubes on my factory 5.56/7.62/6.5CM LMT...

Lightweight FFP Mil scope that tracks reliably

The SWFA 3-9 mil-quad is the closest thing I have to what you describe. The NF NXS 2.5-10x42 is SFP but is a great lightweight hunting scope. SFP is not a big deal in a 10 power scope IMO. It has adjustable parallax and is illuminated.

    LMT .308 MWS

I just bought one since it was on sale for a good price. I put a BRT gas tube and a Xeno brake on it this week. I have not shot it yet.

Why not US 869 for 338 Lapua?

I like US869, it works well in my TRG 42 with 300 SMKs and 300 A-tips.

16” 308 Match Ammo Gas Gun Velocities

Thanks McD! I just picked up a 16” 308 CL barrel for my LMT (have a 20” SS already). I just installed a BRT gas tube for full time suppressed use. Your post gives me a lot of direction as far as load development and MV! Thank you!

Where does the gas block sit in relation to the rail with the 6 arc rifle +1?

    DMR Optic

The Steiner T6Xi 3-18 is a nice scope for the money in my experience. If you look at the T6Xi thread, it is overall positive on the T6Xi. Redneckbmxer24 is pretty opinionated and my experience differs from his pretty regularly. I have everything from SWFA SS to ZCO and Hensoldt scopes. I...

    Clip-on with LRF?

However, the PVS-24 is limited to 5.56 if that matters for your application. Knight's clip-ons frequently tolerate more recoil but are a little less user friendly with focus as I understand.

    Clip-on with LRF?

Depending on your terrain, you might want to consider a NV clip-on as well. Especially if you are going to have a helmet mounted thermal for detection, you could use the NV clip-on for id and aiming the weapon. The PVS-24, PVS-22, UNS-SR, etc are fairly light/compact and great for lower power...
