DNT The One vs Athlon etr 4.5-29

The G2 Cronus is getting a bit dated, what's it been like 3 -4 years now??, so I'd think the DNT would be superior optically because I'm assuming that coatings and maybe glass making processes have been improved. Heck I'd almost buy the DNT because I'd like to see what these are like, but the...

Rifle Scopes ZCO 5-27 vs March 5-42

I bought my G1 5-42x56 with the intent of using high magnification often. This scope at 42x was pretty bad being dim and even blurry. I'll blame it on the 8.4 mag ratio combined with compact size, or something was wrong with the scope, or my older eyes, and probably all in conjunction. Younger...

    SAUM help choosing.

When I had mine built PRC wasn't a thing yet. Same for my 30-375R so I used 375R brass necked down and turned. My wildcat is close to 300 PRC.

    SAUM help choosing.

I did 30-375R, 7mmRM, and then 6.5 Saum. Mine is a 23 pound Surgeon XL with a 29" Bartlein barrel of 9 twist. A medium load of 140 hybrids at 3340 fps is amazing for long range. A 19x21 plate at 1143Y is easy and I got at least two hits, maybe 3(one might of bounced in), out of four shots at...

22 LR Long Range Dispersion, What is the Culprit

That guy Mike N of Thomas Air just posted these two 25 shots groups at 100Y yesterday, with what I'm assuming is his "latest" iteration BR slug airgun. I mention that because he keeps experimenting and implementing improvements which can happen within a few months time. I doubt his SD is up to...

If You’re Going To Own Pit Bulls

When I was a boy around 9 years old I took my toy poodle on a walk without a leash. Not far from home my dog went over to say hi to a pitbull. The owner of the pit literally, no exaggeration, had to put a shovel handle through the chain around the neck of the pit and twist it around until the...

Did Steiner just quietly build the MPO we have all been asking for? H6xi

Back at yuh bro! By observing your demeanor and honesty in the video I can tell you're a good guy that's not a Co brown noser which is much appreciated. Also knowing your stuff and telling it like it is - is what we need to make the best purchasing decisions we can. You're likely saving...

I've suspected for a while that my buddy is the reason we lose touch not me.

I just heard from my daughter that an old friend died last week. He had mental problems ever since I met him 35 years ago which got progressively worse. He was a super nice guy though which I always liked about him. However it was a one sided relationship and he eventually just quit calling 20...

Did Steiner just quietly build the MPO we have all been asking for? H6xi

What I don't understand is we already have the LPVO's/1-?x?s with thick reticles, already have the 3-4x?s with thin reticles, then the higher magnification FFP which 99% of us already own which aren't great on low mag and pretty heavy. So why come out with FFP 1.5 to 2.5x?'s in which you can't...

    Custom 6 ARC Conversion

I prefer 95gr SMK as a sweet spot for these Grendel based 6mm's because the recoil or rifle upset is noticeably less than 105, and the BC is close to 105. Because you get a little more speed, which is almost 100 fps more/@2870 fps/ in my 22" barreled Fat Rat, the wind drift is the same as 105gr...

We found out you are stressed at work....so you won't be stressed you're fired.

My daughter is a Architect and 40 years old. She's a upstanding person and was raised to have moral values. She's one of those people that was grown up by the time she was 15 and was almost 4.0 through high school and never got into any type of trouble. She had a free ride scholarship through...

Captain's log- it's 12 DEC 2024 and my wife was right...

I bought this Dawson Steadfast. The gal was telling me they use USA made steel which is superior to a copy cat Magna type produced overseas which "tries" to emulate the original but falls short in consistency of attributes.

These things are really something. Kind of like Samarai sword. Quote "Shun knives use a core of hard steel sandwiched between layers of softer steel, a technique called cladding that originated with samurai swords." I inherited my mothers one Shun and it's so far above my other kitchen...

Vortex Razor HD Gen III 6-36x56

I won the American Handgun World Shootoff with a Glock in unclassified division, then later in B stock with a STI 40, but I also could have won it with a Kimber. Because you can't miss fast enough to win. Which brings it back to "practicality". A .2 mil reticle is a .2 mil reticle and the .05...

Vortex Razor HD Gen III 6-36x56

Thanks for the warning, I'm enlightened now and I guess the H reticles aren't practical in the least. I wish I had known all this as I was winning the.... AZPRC championship two years in a row, that's 300y to 1450Y on steel, and rarely dialing. Or in NRL22 winning a fair amount of those matches...

    26 pound 375 CT Recoil

My 34 pound 375CT had a easy push which was nice to shoot. This was 16 years ago and the brake wasn't as efficient as what we have nowadays. I'd much rather have shot it than my friends 270 hunting rifle.
