    We used to vote on this, but it hasn’t moved. It would seem to make sense to have it the beginning of October so that when you have it father North you are less likely to have adverse weather.

    No, but the open shooters got a lay of the land that the day one shooters did not get. Maybe the open shooters got the worse of the conditions, but they had a leg up on what they were going to see. So I see it as a wash.

    I have the Macro and AXG Legion. The Legion is only 4 ounces heavier (IIRC), but the little extra weight makes it much less snappy and more shootable.

    My business partner was there ROing, and he thought the open shooters had an advantage. He said on day one some of the open shooters were walking the line looking at the stages in action to make a game plan. The day one shooters didn’t get to look at the stages ahead of time.

    Prices have been high, but inputs are high as well. Similar to your house value going up, but it is because our money is worth less. Best times were 2011 IIRC. 500-600 weight steers were bringing 1k+, and our expenses were less.
