    92.5 is pretty warm . Hornaday brass sucks at that load . Lapua is good . 93.5 way to hot in mine period . Book can say 94 all day long for a 300 . NOT IN MY GUN > Greg

    Frank , yes a chrono would be necessary . Devils advocate here as a NHRA and circle track race guy. We cant just look at dope on the shooter. If I knew that's what you were doing , then my card would be written down 1.1 mils lower than I would actually need to dial . Just a thought . Greg

    May not be classified as professional , but have plumed a few things , and been a machinist all my life. The kroil trick and dowel/rod have been tried . The issue is that the contact point on the brass is lagre. Almost like a taper pin , and he smacked the bolt pretty hard from what I was told...

    Lode your bullets to fit the chamber. Ill bet then they will fit the mag. Or load to the mag and i bet they will fit the action.

    The bolt wouldn't close . It is a tight match chamber , and the savage chamber that he used his reloads from is on the large side of spec.
