Horse Power, Track Shit, Torque, Cubic Inches, Liters, Run What Ya Brung, Auto or Cycle

For sure. I'm not brave enough to get in really deep on anything truly vintage or obscure, so before I decide I must have some car I do some research on parts availability. If it looks like a lot of stuff is NLA I'm out.

    Noveske DDF Barrels

I do too, on <16" barrels.

    Noveske DDF Barrels

I hesitated to even mention it, just because its seems like such a predictable thing for me to complain about..

18" intermediate gas? We are going backwards now?

I love looking at GT6's but know very little about them. What is happening with that trans? Edit: looking a little closer I guess it's pretty self explanatory what's happening here. IIRC all my buddies 80's BMW's have a bit of a stand-off shifter linkage thing like that, but not quite as extreme.

I've heard some generalized talk of engine out procedures but can't nail down what they are. One guy said timing belt, but I just did that in two hours easy peasy, so that ain't it. Everything else is pretty accessible. Long term plans after fixing the rust are along the same lines as my 944...

Yup. It's a 1974 which means it has some neat one year only features. It also means, unfortunately, it needs some one year only parts..

I've only had it up and down the road a couple times, but its already a smile machine.

Not sure if this belongs in the horsepower thread or not, as it'll be lucky to break 70hp, but this is the latest poor investment. A running, driving, mid engined, Gandini designed, Lampredi powered Italian sports car for $850. Complete with all the rust you would imagine for a 70's Italian...

Lol, I get a special mention in the MPT for no particular reason? I'm honored, truly.

    Well it worked, congrats!

New Build: Custom Radian 22" Bartlein 6 ARC

It threw me off when I read the tested bullet weights. Even knowing it's a 6mm thread and knowing 22" refers to barrel length the title still gets every time.

New Build: Custom Radian 22" Bartlein 6 ARC

Am I the only one whose brain insists that this is a thread about 22 ARC every time it reads the thread title?

    Haven't had any problems yet.

Do you guys prefer MIL or MOA?

Lol, then there's the third group of people that think mils and metric have something to do with each other.

They are great guns, but the slide stop issue is well documented. Some guys say that putting a mirror polish on it and the barrel interface surface can increase lifespan. I'm skeptical. Other guys say that using just a pin without the slide stop lever helps it last longer. I think I was around...

That's actually just the standard failure mode of a CZ pistol. Everyone that competes with one keeps a spare slide stop on hand. Mine broke while a buddy was shooting my gun. He had 3-4 malfunctions in 20 rounds and I couldn't figure out what he was doing wrong with my gun.

Dang. Reminds me why an accurate 16" 5.56 is my favorite do-all configuration.
