    I think Mcgowen makes a decent barrel blank. But their machine work and customer service are garbage. But my prefit barrels from Preferred Barrels were spot on. They look as good as any work I've had done by well known gunsmiths.

    I'll take my dmr3 over my xtr III all day long. Thicker reticle and the dmr3 glass wins hands down in lowlight.

    I am lucky to have my own range, so I shoot year round. I actually shoot more in the summer when I am not hunting.

    I am right there with you. Every point you hit upon is exactly what I am looking for as well. There isn't a lot of options for short, lightweight suppressors with a larger od. The price is a little higher than I would want to pay for a sico suppressor though.

    My vote would be the 6 arc. You can buy an off the shelf rifle and factory ammo. And the recoil isn't much more than a 223.

    Good: henderson precision, bushnell, manners(if Tom is involved, otherwise it's hit and miss), triad tactical, liberty optics, longrifles Inc, joebob outfitters, euro optic. Bad: McGowen is complete garbage. Dan is the worst person to be answering phones for anyone.

    I have the tall model that I use on my calling rifles. It isn't quick deploy, but it does everything and more than the Harris bipod. And it's tall enough to use on steep hill sides.
