    .308 win 175smk 20" 2650fps Powder Charge?

Not right . From a 2.850 I'm still jumping .10 to the lands with the rdf. Doesn't matter the length, what does matter is the profile of the particular bullet. The baring surface is shorter.

    .308 win 175smk 20" 2650fps Powder Charge?

Retarded and dangerous? I have used this load for almost 3 years. There have been NO ill effects in my rifle. I think you paint with a broad brush? Thats not to say your wrong in any way! I guess I didn't explain my loads the way I should have? I have a pretty long jump even with my coal of...

running 8208xbr I'm getting 2670 with 175 RDF's out of a Savage MSR 1O LR with a 20" barrel. Bullets are seated long 2.850 +/- and fit in magazine. Averaging 1 moa. I hope to work with it shortly to get tighter groups by working with seating depths This is with LCLR brass. And NO it hasn't...

    following the vapor trail

For what it's worth, vapor trails are better seen with the necked eye and resemble a white streak only where there are changes it temperature and humidity. Think of vapor trails behind a jet.

    following the vapor trail

Sorry I misunderstood? Vapor trail is totally different from trace. I have seen vapor trails and I agree a lot depends on environment

    following the vapor trail

Oh, I forgot to add, when the lighting is right a lot of the time you will be able to see the bullet not just the trace.

First set of binos - which mag?

I just picked up a pair of Nikon Monarch 5's 12x42's. I really don't know how they compare with more expensive brands but in their price range they seemed better. I bought a pair of Monarch in 2008(?) They did everything I wanted. I loaned them to my grandson to use on a elk hunting trip and...

    6.5 Creedmoor Alpha Headspace

A good test would be to load up a couple of pieces of brass with only neck size and fire them. Repeat until they are hard to chamber. Then you could bump back whatever you wanted. Right now you could be .003 off or more as it is.

    6.5 Creedmoor Alpha Headspace

Are you sure it fully fire formed? Does the fired brass still chamber? If the 1× fired brass still chambers I don't think I'd bump the shoulder back. YMMV but sometimes it takes 2 maybe 3 firings before it's fully formed.

    Difference in Berger Bullets ?

I've used bergers exclusively in a 260 and a 6.5-284 and been very successful at killing game but then again I've been successful with all the calibers and bullets I've used over the years. Guess I'm just Blessed! I do like how the berger's fly
