PVA Solus .223 Wylde Barreled Action (Barrel question)

No, that is from pva's "oem" option. They shoot good and clean up fast.

PVA Solus .223 Wylde Barreled Action (Barrel question)

Youd be right if we were talking about aero barreled action....but OP is asking about PVA's deal. Pva isn't associated with BA, also I doubt BA is making their own barrels. More than likely they source blanks somewhere. PVAs deal is offering calibers/lengths/and contours not available from...

PVA Solus .223 Wylde Barreled Action (Barrel question)

Not sure what the oem barrel is, or who made it, but I've got one on my 22creed solus deal and it hammers 75eldm@3450 into dimes.

    Scope rail bedding 'WTF?'

Had a buddy that had a rail constantly coming loose on his savage. I gave him he'll for not getting threads in action and screw decreased. Turns out it was shitty loctite, a new bottle cured it. When I had savages, I always ran a badger rail with recoil lug. Does the farrel have that?

    183smk 7mm

Has anyone played with these much in a 7prc or similar? I find a lot of data on berger 180-190s, but not much on the 183smk. Maybe that's a bit telling, but just looking at others experience on jump and ease of tuning/staying in tune with throat erosion. Thanks

I’m confused about using an expander ball when using neck bushings.

So what was wrong with it? I've never been impressed with redding internal finish, considering the price. The thing with forster, they will actually open up dies to what you need if you send them some fired brass. Ive never needed to as they have been perfect, except the 22creed die. Im not...

I’m confused about using an expander ball when using neck bushings.

Should have contacted forster, lol. I had a 22creed die from them that wouldn't size nk small enough(Peterson brass). I used a pin gage and the die nk was .254. I called them and talked to a tech, he explained that they shoot for a .002-.004 under typical loaded nk dia, which I knew from...

I’m confused about using an expander ball when using neck bushings.

Forster sizing dies are really nice. Generally, I've found forster standard sizing dies size nk .003-.004 under bullet diameter. They are smooth running, like a bushing die, unlike hornady, rcbs, and redding standard sizing dies that size .008-.014 under bullet size. Yeah, that's right .014...

I’m confused about using an expander ball when using neck bushings.

It's really simple. Even good brass ie ADG, lapua, and Peterson all have variation on nk wall thickness. Recent lot of ADG 7prc brass had .0145-.0155 nk wall thickness in a box of 50. That's .001 variation. I had some 243 lapua brass 10yrs ago that had .004 variation in 200 pieces. "Whats...

    ARC Coup de Grace Builds

Thank you. On the bix chart it says low for arc actions, but with the trigger hanger on a cdg I wondered if a low would be too short.

    RemArms Sloppy Warranty Repair

You know, I'm amazed at how some threads grow legs and others die, but here we are. In the end, OP is the customer of this rifle and he wasn't happy with the repair(no matter how common it is on 700s). I suppose rem cs decided to replace the rifle, which I guess they can salvage all components...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Staccato CS or Wilson Combat EDC X9 w/3.25 inch barrel

Staccato will be a very average assembled 1911/2011 with a poorly fit barrel and ok but expensive mags that need tuned. The wilson will have nice things like serrations and be hand built and based off merger made mags that have proven themselves and never had feed issues like a 2011. Street...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Good Trigger for a Glock 19 Gen 5

Minus connector, overwatch flat trigger(that's what I prefer, but does not really changing the actual pull weight or dimensions of factory trigger pull), and a lighter striker safety block spring. These will help smooth/lighten trigger pull but not compromise safety or reliability.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Two more P320s discharge in Holster.

A bit different scenario and it was more like late 80s. Street cops where used to 10lb da/sa autos or 8-10lb da revolver triggers. That heavy ass first trigger pull does alot to prevent ND/AD issues. When they were handed glocks that had a 4.5-5.5lb trigger pull, it unmasked poor gun handling...

    RemArms Sloppy Warranty Repair

I've saw 1 stake/peen mark per pin hole before. OPs had like 3 and it did look sloppy done, so I can get his frustration. I'm sure in his head he was expecting a high tech whiz bang fix, and did not expect to see 3 strike marks near each pin. I'm sure that was a rude awakening for him, but...

    RemArms Sloppy Warranty Repair

Torx bits get way over used, and it's fine till they snap. I bet it's not crazy tight, just crappy, overused torx bit/key. It's torx bit flutes are probably spiraled and that's what's holding it in. Ive used a dental/oring pick to get stuff like that out, but it was on more robust machinery...
