US Judge Tosses Illinois' Ban On Semiautomatic Weapons, Governor Pledges Swift Appeal

Almost on the other end of state from Chicago, but still get their bulkshit down here. I would like to think the USSC would get tired of their rulings being shit on by state govt, and take up the awb cases sent to them to clarify their position.

US Judge Tosses Illinois' Ban On Semiautomatic Weapons, Governor Pledges Swift Appeal

Not before the awb, there was just a few municipal(chiraq) mag capacity limits. The other 95% of state was standard mag to drum, no cares

Ok, last 700 I owned was a 09ish 5r milspec. It had partial serial on bolt

I wish good luck to OP, and hope the missing bolt is just sitting on a smiths work bench.

    Your PVA prefit experience

Yes, the cone. Wasn't for what it was called technically, but knew you'd know what I meant. Good to know, I bought a cdg with a pva 7prc barrel on it.

Those pins are hardened. If you try to stake them or stake holes with pins in them, you can/will fracture pins. I had a loose pin in a 700, after consulting a few known smiths, they suggesting staking as their fix. Since I'm a man that can rebuild a small block Chevy and work on heavy...

Yeah, I'm a bit lost too. I thought problem was loose trigger pins and sloppy-looking staking. Now we're talking about a new receiver with oversized trigger pin holes and staking. Op, are you saying you got a new receiver with oversized holes or original receiver was oversized? As Rubicon...

    RemArms Sloppy Warranty Repair

Thank you. This is not a real earth shattering event, as this has been the fix for decades. First time I saw it was when an AMU armorer did it, lol. OP, you should see how they used to, and some still do, tighten 1911 frame to slide fit....by peening/swaging and stoning frame rails.

Also @bohem , do you guys do the radius on breechface on LA cdg barrels? I know arc says "LA don't need them but it doesn't hurt."

That's a fact. The worst thing about tikka is having to use Beretta warranty service

Oof on the bolt. They used to engrave bolt or handle with 4 digit of serial, not sure if they still do. Sometimes it's easier to fix something yourself, and cheaper, and safer.....this is one of those cases. A drop of sleeve retaining loc tite would have done the trick, also.

    RemArms Sloppy Warranty Repair

I've saw plenty of factory staked 700 trigger pins and this was in the 90s-early 2000s. There isn't anything wrong with it per say, other then 1 stake is sufficient instead of 3. I'm not gonna lie, I've saw some notable gunsmith 700s that had stake marks. Maybe factory, maybe the smith, don't...

I've had just as good results with Hornady seater as I have with forster ultra, widden, and redding. I must be doing something wrong.

Yes, as they don't normally size exactly to number on bushing. Just wanted ballpark, like "I use .xxx with adg."

Looking at getting a 7prc and loading for it. What is outside nk diam of loaded rds with adg and Peterson? Trying to nail down bushing size. Thanks

.22 creedmoor fad or just starting

I'm wondering if he needed a fresh start for a piloted reamer? My Smith rechambered a 6.5x47 2013 barrel to 6.5prc without needing to recut threads or tenon shoulder. I'd say your guy messed up felt he needed the pilot in the bore and cut old chamber off. Surprised there was enough meat left...

I want a new hunting bolt gun

Aero solus with bravo stock. They make one with a 20" 308 barrel. Bravo stock, tt trigger and nice action. As a bonus it uses prefits that are same tenon and headspace as an origin. Recently, midway had a blowout sale on the solus hunter. A friend bought one and it was the nicest 1500...

I fell in love with 110 smk and 112 Barnes in one 6creed barrel, both shot phenomenal(handloads). In a moment of weakness I sold that barreled action, but I kept all the bullets for my other 243/6creeds. I had a 7tw bart 243 spun up for an AI, and I started with the 110 and 112. I've owned...
