    550 and 100yd with 77/tac. This was a bolt gun with a 24" 223 wylde chamber, speed was right at 3k.

    I've had good luck with tac in several 223 with 77smk. Tac throws like water in a uniflow(comp version), Dillon powder measure, and a harrels. I do most of 223 on a 650, except for 1 bolt gun load that i use h4895 with 75eldm and those are done on a chargemaster as they are for 800-1k shooting.

    I would think that would take alot of grit to lock up safety. Almost sounds like something(safety pivot, maybe) galled up. Knock on wood my giessele 700s and all my bix's have been bulletproof........so far.

    I've heard that and apparently les baer is even worse. I had a slight issue on a used Evo9 I bought, Ed was nothing but helpful. Sometimes these internet CS tales get blown up or maybe the poor CS was from a customer that started off interaction with a shitty attitude.

    H4350 would be as fast a burn as I think you could go. Variety sounds like it'd hit pressure well before you saw much speed, but I've been wrong before, lol.

    That will be interesting. At a certain barrel length, and I'd think 18" is getting close, the extra case capacity of a magnum is offset by slow burn rate powder and not gaining anything over 6.5creed habdloads. Not exactly apples to apples, but my 147gr load in a 20" 6.5creed is getting 2730...

    What I did. I removed the threaded post from cheekpiece, also. Simple stop collars like this poster mentioned is what I did, I just use 1 on front post. It just needs to be there to provide "memory" for reassemble after cleaning.

    Dang Cody, that's a beautiful foundation! Op, if you find a good deal on a used stock of your choice, and it's got a straight bolt handle cut, I'd jump on it. There might be a little tweaking needed to those minor areas but nothing major.

    Hk bolt gun would be a rem 700 clone, built to sako/Tikka quality, with a hard to reach safety(but with pictogram!), and only cost 4000.

    Voids, saw little ones in mcm and manners. Definitely not a structural issue, but filling with a bit of bedding won't hurt either.

    Lol, manufacturers wanting to sell new stocks. The action will fit just fine, they might need some small filing for trigger hanger screw(mpa, foundation, and krg bravo had no issue taking a solus). There might be a less than pretty alignment of port cut to action port, but that can be fixed...

    Op, grease lugs, bolt stop groove, cocking ramps, and 2 bayonet lugs on bolt shroud/cocking piece......cycle/dry fire a couple hundred times and "tuning" is complete.

    The issue with a 30-6.5prc or 7mm-6.5prc is with the heavy good bc bullets, a med or long action is required with 6.5prc based wildcat. At that point, might as well save some headache and go 300prc or 7mm prc
