Barrel Tuners and Bryan Litz’s vol. 3

It would definitely get boring with a bunch of practice rounds I agree.

Barrel Tuners and Bryan Litz’s vol. 3

Starting at a mile with no practice shots takes some skill. You should try a match sometime if you wanna challenge yourself and not your reloading skills.

Barrel Tuners and Bryan Litz’s vol. 3

I have no interest in shooting long range benchrest where the most of the skill required for ELR is lost. Shooting a bunch of misses and correcting is just not something I find interesting. I want to challenge myself not just a reloading competition.

Barrel Tuners and Bryan Litz’s vol. 3

lol those were all from weekend. I've got plenty more but don't feel the need to keep posting my results when you can't any in return. We are talking about applied ballistics which isn't relevant when you shoot one distance with slighter shots. The skill in ELR is first round hits without the...

Barrel Tuners and Bryan Litz’s vol. 3

Are you going to post any results of a real National ELR match for these "west coast" shooters as requested or just keep deflecting? I'm guessing the answer is no which proves my point. Applied Ballistics must be doing something right because they keep winning while you post 20 year old shotgun...

Barrel Tuners and Bryan Litz’s vol. 3

Apparently AB was also used in shotgun competitions 20 years ago. I guess I do learn something new every day.

Barrel Tuners and Bryan Litz’s vol. 3

Wow you really can't read. What national ELR match's have you placed first?

Barrel Tuners and Bryan Litz’s vol. 3

Things like these since you've never seen any in real ELR matches.

Barrel Tuners and Bryan Litz’s vol. 3

The answer is yes I literally have shelves of trophies from other shooting related disciplines that are not relevant. Again, almost all of the top meal. Our shooters are using AB and continue poke at him. Please answer my question with something relevant. Please post some results from some...

Barrel Tuners and Bryan Litz’s vol. 3

How did this turn into a bench rest discussion instead of ELR and AB?

Care to share some results from any national matches?

Barrel Tuners and Bryan Litz’s vol. 3

Almost every top shooter is also running Applied Ballistics also.

Barrel Tuners and Bryan Litz’s vol. 3

Weird I seem to win plenty

Barrel Tuners and Bryan Litz’s vol. 3

I'm always down for trying something new. My current rifle is a freaking hammer and out shoots me. Maybe we try it on Jaclyn's new gun. She's the better shooter anyways lol

Barrel Tuners and Bryan Litz’s vol. 3

Sure and I believe you. Just not a tuner which you said the benefit is to allow you "to fine tune on the fly" Why wouldn't you want that benefit?

Barrel Tuners and Bryan Litz’s vol. 3

Nah he doesn't use a Tuner on his own rifle....

    Coriolis Effect?

With our longest impact this year at 4227 yards it was enabled in our app which accounted for .4 Mil of windage. 1mph wind is also .4-.5 so who knows because no one knows the true wind with a 10 second flight time anyways 🤷‍♂️

Would you consider 338LM a barrel burner? or, what kind of round count for a 338LM barrel?

I got right at 2k on a factory Savage 338 barrel before rebarrel. It was sad because that was one of those special barrels you get once in awhile.

    Need advice/suggestions

Your rifle appears to shoot decent and I wouldn't say they drifted right at 100 yards that's just your group size, which is fine and more accurate of your zero. Asking consistency from 140gr at a mile is just a big ask. A lot of things come into play besides the shooter so I would worry about...
