How old is “old enough” for kids to shoot Real Rifles

My son started shooting his 22 at age 7. AR15 at age 9. Graduated to his 6.5 Creedmoor at age 10. Probably depends on the child, their strength and size, aspects of the rifle etc. I think the biggest key is to start small so they don’t develope fear of recoil or the noise.

Question for the accurized AR-15 crowd...

FWIW I have a custom White Oak barrel I had spun with an intermediate length system in 223 Wylde. I built it on Seekins billet upper and lower, with a BCM Mlok handguard. Using a Young Manufacturing chrome national match bolt carrier. The gun will shoot sub MOA all day long with 77g SMKs...

    Question for Dirtbike Riders

Is it too small or just not set up for me properly? I feel it needs a stiffer spring in the rear and the sag set properly. Which they said they would do for me.

    Question for Dirtbike Riders

If all “race” style bikes put you into that more aggressive riding posture I know I won’t like it. That would solidify my decision on the KLX. That KLX in the photo seemed a little “mushy” on the rear suspension. I have no clue where it will be sag wise until I got it home and up on a stand...

    Question for Dirtbike Riders

Sat on the used KLX300R. It’s comfortable for sure. It almost looks small in the photos. But the riding position felt very natural to me. I also sat on a new KX250X. It sat higher being new suspension that hasn’t been broken in. The foot pegs / handlebar on it put me into a slightly...
