    Which Folding Chassis?

Right, i have a krg and it's just a thumbscrew and it has posts with o-rings so it goes right back where i had it. Annoying, but super easy. Same with recoil pad. I have to loosen it and turn it sideways to get my cleaning rod through. It annoys me enough, but thinking about that xlr and having...

    Which Folding Chassis?

On a slightly related note... With a non-folding XLR envy, how do you clean the barrel? The cheek piece isn't tooless. Am i missing something or do you have to wrench on the cheek piece so you can get your bolt out and a cleaning rod through the action?

I don't, but I'm sure someone around here does.

    Want a Chronograph - Thinking Magnetospeed V3 - Thoughts

Pretty much comes down to magnetospeed or lab radar. I have a magnetospeed and it's very reliable and simple to use. My buddy has a lab radar and it's nice if you're using multiple rifles because you don't have to mess with readjusting anything like with the magnetospeed. It's also nice to just...

    Which Folding Chassis?

Haha, the reason is because i like buttstocks with a slope for riding a bag. I like to make large adjustments with the slope, then fine tune it by squeezing my bag. I know AI makes top notch stuff, and if the buttstock was a little different they would definitely be on the list.

    Which Folding Chassis?

So I've been thinking about upgrading my current chassis to a folding model. I didn't really see the benefit of one, especially given the added cost, but recently I've found myself thinking it would be nice to have for various reasons. I don't intent to carry folded, so I don't think left...

Advice on barrel and barrel length for a 6.5 Creedmore build

For around $400 or less i would look at keystone accuracy, craddock precision, rainier arms, and wilson combat. There may be others, but those should give you a good start.

Advice on barrel and barrel length for a 6.5 Creedmore build

Accuracy has little to do with barrel length. It's mainly about velocity. 18-20 inch barrel will be plenty to shoot to 600 + yards. Should easily be supersonic past 1,000. Also, should have plenty of energy for whitetail. As far as what brand...you generally get what you pay for. Large frame...

How often do Forster Coax Presses come into stock?

Same here. I guess i didn't realize they were so hard to come by. Went ahead and backordered even though i won't be ready to set up my reloading room for a few more months.

1 shot vs 3 shot OCW (finished load)

I think skookum is saying that you can't trust what a scattered group is telling you until after you have done seating depth tests because seating depth can affect group size so much. But I also see what you're saying about not being able to infer much from a single shot ocw, because the...

Modified Ladder / OCW test 308 Win

It really is hard to ignore, haha. But you have to stick to the method. Seeing your example's group size open up and tighten up just on a seating depth change helps to avoid that temptation.

1 shot vs 3 shot OCW (finished load)

Very possible, haha. It's one problem i have with ocw. Unless you're very confident in your ability to shoot dot drills consistently, the data could be misleading. That's why i did a "satterlee" or chrono only ladder first, then an ocw to see how the two methods compared.
