    The only way I have gotten a hold of Aero, is through email, and that was kinda slow. While my question was answered... it was sort of a flat response.... as in, "no we don't sell just the FP." Conversation done.

    I understand... but I was saying all this if the OP was testing one round after another. Without cleaning. I also have gotten my best groups from a clean bore. ( Grudgingly, Lol ) 10rds, 100yrds, bagged, benched, scoped.. etc. Hornady AG 140gr 6.5CM 10rds 155gr Hornady AG , same benched...

    Very Interesting read... Thank You to all !! BTW... IMHO Faxon barrels are like McDonald's Cheeseburgers. A Cheeseburger in name, ingredients, pretty pics/ specs... but not really a great cheeseburger.

    To put this in context... when I have been chrono testing , multiple factory loads and shooting 10rd groups. I stumbled onto it. It doesn't happen 100% of the time, but enough to see happen over and over. No barrel cleaning , between factory loads. And frankly I didn't realize this would...

    BTW... typically the nitrating process will leave a fuzzy surface... clean the fuzziness out of the bore and chamber.

    Possibly... Bushmaster , Colt , or Rock River Arms ? A little surprising there aren't more markings on the whole thing. Can you tell if the bore is chrome lined ? Is the anodizing kinda purple'ish ? Or is that just the camera ? ( CH v. upper pic)
