    If you call berger they will give you data over the phone. I have the same rifle and 85 grains of h1000 with a 215 berger is getting pretty hot so you will be well under that.

    I am doing the same set up in a A2. I went with a .250 freebore. It depends how much your load wants to jump but .215 is on the short side for bigger bullets.

    I have a A2 covert coming that is going to have a 18" proof barrel with a fluted shank and a CA slayer titanium brake. It should be as light as you can get in a srs.

    I want to try to run 75gr eld match bullets in my 223 conversion with an 18" barrel. I was looking at varget or h4895. I think with the long range chamber there should be enough case capacity to run varget without being to compressed but I was wondering if h4895 would do better in the shorter...

    That's good news. With the march is that a 52mm objective? How much clearance roughly would you say there is between the forearm and the objective? 3/16" maybe 1/4" I like a pretty high comb for my cheek weld compared to most people so I am trying to stay fairly low

    March scopes are light and seem like they would be perfect. I just wasn't sure about durability and holding zero. I almost bought a used 2.5-25x42 that was mint. It was a great deal, but just didn't know enough about them and any repairs go to japan.

    I will for sure. My plan is to try 230 a tips and 215 bergers. The .230 freebore is about as long as I wanted to go so that I could still run the 215's if needed and still have enough bearing surface in the case. Muzzle blast should be interesting, we shall see:oops:

    Is anyone running a 18" barrel on a 223 conversion? What kind of velocity would you be looking at with 75ish grain bullets.
